Your car is getting a bit old, there is the odd squeak here and there and you don't feel comfortable about reving the engine very high. The valves are rattling a bit and the crankshaft bearings have an acoustic presence, but you know that this car is still good for a few thousand miles. You are driving along and you see a lot of wrecked cars along the road that all appear to have a blown up engine. This gets you worried and you pull up at the next garage to check your engine oil. impressed. Everybody is buying it! Everybody can't be wrong! "To add to this bargain we throw in another treatment called radio. It's a high tech hammer and chisel, we can target your radiator and punch holes in it without hitting your tyres" continues the guy from the garage "Again, it is very very expensive and I love selling it, and best of all, your car will run an extra 100 yards now" You are overwhelmed, the guy from the garage seems to be such an authority on cars.
