Rajan usually writes good letters. But what was published in the DNA of Feb.1,

as A GOOD IDEA supporting compulsory HIV testing is a very, very bad idea.

 

Rajan writes his son wanted to be sure whether he was medically fit.

HIV negative result will not prove his son's motility, whether his son

has some psychological problem, or some chronic diseases or addiction

which too would make him unfit not only for marriage but also for for career or business.

 

HIV has not been identified and it has not been proved that HIV causes AIDS.

AIDS is a chronic disease which is called Oja-kshaya in Ayurveda,

Vettai Noi in Siddha and Al-Zabool in Unani.

 

In any case HIV test is done routinely on every pregnant woman

admitted for delivery or every patient admitted in the hospital, because

unnecessary, unreliable tests have become a fashion and it is a big business.

We are working to stop this racket. That is why all these racketeers want to make

HIV testing compulsory so that they can rake in more moolah. Crores and crorers

of rupees wasted on unreliable tests and consequent messing up of people's lives.

 

Earlier as you may know Leprosy was one of the reasons for divorce.

Now it is no more with increased awareness.

 

Likewise, some ignorant Judges have decreed that AIDS can be one of the

reasons for divorce. This ignorance has taken many lives of HIV positive

patients due to discrimination, ostracism, back breaking expenses on

Anti-Retrovirals and has created a whole new generation of promiscuous

people due to overemphasis on condoms. Safe sex = use of condom

has a negative message; use condom and go on having sex with

anyone and everyone !!!

 

Indirectly what Rajan and willy-nilly his son has admitted is that his son

was afraid that he may not be "clean" and consequently he may insist

that his would-be bride too should be certified as "clean" and doubting her fidelity.

In other words, the couple starts their new life doubting each other when the main

foundation of marriage and love is trust.

 

There has to be some limit to which the State can interfere in people's personal lives.

We strongly oppose this compulsory testing for HIV. It is best left to the couples,

like Kundali and Rahu-Ketu matching and all that kind of crap that goes on in our country.
