Bluetooth radio frequencies have limited signal strength as compared to mobile telephones which emanate a very much stronger signal. Much safer.

Is bluetooth safer than regular cell usage? How can you tell which has the least amount of harmful rays?

Wonder why I keep seeing on health lists to get a non bluetooth earphone? We do animal rescue so must have a cell but I don't want cancer. Does it emit radiation when not talking but cell is on? Do the antennas on mercola etc work to protect? thanks Kim

Bluetooths also have radiation. Though the range (or the physical distance) of the bluetooth signals is small/short, these are electromagnetic signals that have good (and sometimes stronger than normal cellphone elecromagnetic signals) radiation effects within the short distances. The same holds good for cordless phones. These kind of devices are short-range but very powerful radiations. So it is best if you can avoid those. Use a hands-free wired head-set for use. These are convenient - just that there will be a piece of wire hanging around which can be easily managed.
