Guest guest
Hi Sheila, Though I'm hardly qualified to help with something this major, I'll share two things that I do know..... First, before mixing vitamins, herbs or anything else, you might want to find someone qualified where you are. If your husband is on meds, there could be side effects. over-thinning the blood, overtaxing the liver, etc. Second, According to my chiropractor, virtually no one under chiropractic care has a heart attack and the very few that do almost never have a fatal one. You might want to ask around locally and see if you can find a good wellness chiropractor and discuss this with him/her. -Joe Sheila wrote: > > Hello, this is my first post - subjects are always well covered before > my meager knowledge is needed. Guest guest
Sheila, Of course follow the advice of Dr's and have your husband get regular check ups. But something to think about as an alternative Does he have any allergies or possibly sinus problems??? Recently i went to the dr myself for very bad migraines, All in the same spot, on the left side. I never had any history of migraines, or headaches. Turns out i have a very severe sinus infection. This may have been attributed to new construction they are doing in the area where i live and all the dust, dirt and particles they are upturning is affecting my sinuses. It might be something to look into particularly if your husband is hanging around any new developements, doing any type of work with pesticides, dirt, dust, or just using new types of cleansers... With a heart condition, please watch any caffein intake, soda, coffee, tea, chocolate...and just see if there is any enviromental changes going on in your area. Hopefully this helps. I am not a dr, but just someone who recently has been suffering from migraines as well. Guest guest
However, the reason I'm writing is to ask for your help with my husband's nutritional needs. He had a heart attack last March and surgery to open an artery on the heart, repair a tear in the vessel and put in a stint. Leading up to the attack he had severe migraines with nausea, increased weakness, and slept a lot. His latest tests indicated that he has improved considerably. I'm concerned because he's having the migraines again, which may not be related, but I'm redoubling my efforts to learn as much as possible to help him recover fully. I would appreciate you dear people hitting me with everything you've got, even the basics. There's always something in your posts that I never thought about before. Thanks for everything you can give me. Sheila Hi there Sheila, I'm happy to hear that your husband has been improving! I have no experience with heart attacks, but was a sufferer of migraines that were not only painful but caused me extreme fatigue as well. Now, foods can trigger migraines, but so can stress and exhaustion. I believe the latter were my triggers. Has your husband been under a lot of stress lately or not getting enough rest? I was getting migraines once a week until I started seeing a chiropractor. I haven't had one single headache in over a month and I'm still plenty tired and stressed from my 3 children! Lavender is also a known remedy for migraines. Hopefully your husband's headaches aren't related to his heart problems. I'm a great believer in chiropractic care; it's a wonderful way to get balanced when one's body starts " complaining " . I'm not a nutritionist, but I do know that too much sugar and processed foods should definitely be avoided for optimal health. Does your husband consult a nutritionist since his heart attack? This may be in your best interest! I certainly hope that your husband continues to improve. ~Connie in S.C.
