Guest guest
Some of u know that I started having pelvic pain that spread to lower and mid-abdominal in early March. Had gone thru several CT scans, XRays, and an ultrasound. Was eventually hospitalized overnight, where they did an endoscopy and colonoscopy, to find the problem. All they found was that my stomach was red: I understood it to be beginnings of an ulcer. I have whats called hydrocaephalus, otherwise known as water on the brain My shunt, the " machine " that drains the fluid, apparently got infected. Something thats nvr happened b4. It had shown itself as a malfunction, which is y I went to the ER for the 3rd time last March. So thats where I've been for the past while, was in Cardio Pulmonary ICU at first, cuz they thought something was wrong with my heart too. Then they figured out somehow (not a CT scan, which is odd- tho they did do that) that it was infected, so I was admitted to Neuro Intensive Care. Spent like two and-a-half wks there, one days needing a Heparin shot in the stomach, then needing it in the IV, then not @ all . . . it was screwy. Had two surgeries last wk Monday, idiots didnt know what they were doing, so had to go bk in to put the catheter in the right spot. They claimed stuff like that happened, but my mom and I know that under my old Dr's care, none of what happened, would have. The nurses were great, save one, who was a total b*tch IMO. She got reported to her supervisor. This one hadf the nerve to ask if the docs knew I had CP (not like it's in my file, lol), cuz one night I was having muscle spams and stiffness, so had to take my Cyclobenzaprene. Am on something called Protonix, to combat the other meds. According to the Dr. now, I dont have an ulcer. Got the stitches out Tuesday, but unfortunately the stomach ones wound up popping on me, and got infected, so now I have to take antibiotics. Am almost bald now (Fuzzy Wuzzy was a bear, Fuzzy Wuzzy had no hair. LOL) but I'm covering that up w/ bandanas I got (I know how ppl stare). Need to go bk to GI Clinic in a few days, then have a CT scan again on the 16th June after that on same day, have to go see the quack Dr. Still having bit of headaches, but general Dr. wants me to bk off a bit on pain meds, due to stomach probs. What fun. The cat's glad to be home, away from the dog. Tho to the dog's credit, she harassed him, not the other way around lol. O, I forgot to mention: a piece of good news! Becuz of the infection and being so sick I'm having trouble eating (thats slowly getting better), I lost 27 lbs! I'm now 197!
