Guest guest
Hi Health Activists, The latest proposal to impose new Food Safety reporting and processing criteria have roiled the alternative health and organic farming community. There is always the danger of the application of seemingly straightforward rules being used to accomplish an unintended consequence. It is especially galling to many of us when the opportunity for spread of infection in foods are due to the industrial agribusiness mass processing of foodstuffs with little regard to cleanliness. It is too common for blood and discarded animal products to be used as feed for livestock. Slaughterhouses are notoriously dirty. The dangers arising from pesticide use and genetically modified crops, can play with the natural immunity that normally prevents spread of these contaminants. Dr. Robert Rowen,MD in his newsletter Second Opinion of April, 2009 _www.secondopinionnewsletter.com_ (http://www.secondopinionnewsletter.com) makes the suggestion that we use Ozone, a naturally occurring antioxidant. It kills bacteria AND viruses in seconds and leaves no toxic residue. By comparison radiation penetrates the entire food and effects every molecule, Ozone only cleans the surface where contamination can occur. Sadly the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) ruthlessly persecutes Ozone as an alternative medical therapy. Ozone is dirt cheap and it's easy to install and use. This lack of a big money making opportunity for an agribusiness client, may be a factor in its being overlooked and even persecuted. In some of the hyped and overarching criticism of the HR 875, the food safety bill, we are being painted as uninterested in food safety---exactly the opposite of our real ideals and beliefs. Now we can supply a compelling cheaper, easier and safer NATURAL alternative. And in the process we educate the public and the FDA about the benefits of Oxidation therapies in general and ozone in particular. Please contact your representative and ask them to contact the Chairmen of the Committees handling HR 875. HR 875 was referred to both the Energy and Commerce Committee and the Agriculture Committee. Contact Representative Henry Waxman, Chairman of Energy and Commerce and Representative Colin Peterson, Chairman of Agriculture and ask them to amend HR 875 so as to use the safer and cheaper Ozone to treat food products. Also contact your 2 US Senators(each state has 2) and ask them to Contact Chairman Tom Harkin, Chairman of the Agriculture Committee and ask that he amend S 425 (the Senate bill on Food Safety) so as to use the safer and cheaper Ozone to treat food products.
