Dear Congressmember / Senator,

 

I am a member of New York State’s non-partisan Coalition For Informed Choice

(CFIC). I support the parental freedom to choose whether or not to

vaccinate one’s own children. Gary Krasner, CFIC's founder and director who

authored a philosophical exemption bill for NYS, notes in the following

statement

YOUR RESPONSIBILITY, as a federal law maker, in the current vaccine injury

epidemic:

 

The growth in state vaccine mandates was triggered by the federal government

and is currently fueled by it:

 

1. States receive federal grants in direct proportion to their vaccination

rates. They also subsidize the cost of vaccines.

 

2. The federal Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (VICP) launched in 1988

made taxpayers liable and vaccine manufacturers immune from lawsuits.

 

3. To keep monetary claims low, VICP employs narrow definitions of vaccine

injuries from the Vaccine Injury Tables established by Health and Human

Resources.

 

4. The CDC relies on these tables when recommending vaccinations for

children---and to complete the circle---states follow these guidelines when

mandating vaccinations for students.

 

Among the many adverse clinical consquences coinciding with these federal

health policies is the shift in age in which autism appears, where the “

onset-at-18 month†children now outnumber the “onset-at-birth†children by

2 to 1.

 

THEREFORE, I urge you to take the following necessary measures to stem the

current vaccine injury epidemic by:

 

A. Stop rewarding state health agencies who most forcefully compel parents

to vaccinate their children. IN OTHER WORDS, remove the MONETARY INCENTIVES

in federal grants which provides proportionally greater funding to states

with the highest vaccination rates.

 

B. Stop the CDC from lobbying states to rescind state vaccination

exemptions. Instead, make the CDC furnish states with model legislation for

philosophical exemption provisions to school vaccination laws.

 

C. Remove the protections from civil lawsuits that vaccine makers obtained

under VICP in 1988.
