Stop Nuclear Subsidies-Call Congress

Hi activists,

Nuclear power has been a disastrous financial and environmental disaster for

all who have become involved in the construction and maintenance of nuclear

power plants. Without government subsidies direct and indirect-neglecting the

safety of the people living around these plants-the plants would have to shut

down.

 

Senators Joseph Lieberman of Connecticut and John Warner of Virginia have

introduced a bill to increase subsidies for nuclear power under the cover of the

apparent lack of Greenhouse gases emitted by the nuclear power plants. The

Greenhouse gases are far less dangerous to human health than the escaping

radiation from the power plants that have to store their highly toxic

radioactive fuel that lasts for THOUSANDS OF YEARS!!

Call your senators today and ask them to oppose the Leiberman-Warmer Climate

Change Bill.
