Guest guest
Howdy Everyone! I am a 26 yo F whom has just begun researching and looking forward to a Holistic Lifestyle. About 6 months ago I was introduced to the word Holistic and books that go along with it. I was intrigued, still am, and I went and purchased one of these books (Prescription for Nutritional Health). I have many concerns though, I guess due to so many unanswered questions and wary if my physician I am seeing now can help. I have 3-4 health issues I have to deal with on a regular basis and reading this book I am curious into trying out some of the recommendations. Thanks for taking the time to listen! Guest guest
Welcome! While we'd want you to check with a medical professional for any health conditions, not all are holistic friendly. Research is good though and a lot of doctors appreciate educated patients. If you don't mind sharing, why don't you let us know your health concerns/issues and perhaps someone here has dealt with it and might provide additional information. There are lots of methods and holsitic treatment options available. Guest guest
Thank you for the warm welcome. I have manic depression or the new term Bipolar. I am on prescription drugs but after getting this book and reading the whole chapter on this illness I have it in my head that I need to do EVERYTHING it suggests or recommends and wanted some help on how to incorporate into my lifestyle. I also have developed boils and want to know how they can be treated and if there is anyway for them to go away, forever. I feel like I am trying to do too much all at once and not sure if I am supposed to or not etc. I need help knowing what to do to treat these problems. I also kind of what to know am I to take all the Nutrients they suggest and How I am supposed to-that would be alot of pills! Also the book suggests to get on a fish, nut, and seed diet, eat green veggies etc. but I am not a very good cook nor know how to make just a meal for myself because I am pretty positive my family(husband and chidren) won't or don't need to be on the same diet. holistic-health , " S.V.Swamy " <truthseeker123x wrote: > > Welcome to the group. Guest guest
Thanks so much for that information. I think the important thing to remember is that one book may not have all the answers. The other is to go slowly. As to the diet, so long as you are eating healthy, fresh, natural foods, there shouldn't be any reason why your family can't be on the same diet. It will benefit them as well. My thought would be to take one or two things and start there. See how they work for you, or if they work. If you like them, and want to add on, you can. If not, then you know to try something else. What resonates the most for you out of the book? For example, the diet. Maybe that's where you start. Make sure you and your family are getting the best, most nutritious food possible. A lot of our health issues are actually caused by nutritional issues from our chemical-infused and processed diet. We're lacking a lot of important minerals because we don't eat our fresh foods. It's all canned, boxed and prepackaged.
