Guest guest
Dear Group, The following mail from one of our members is accepted, though it doesn't strictly belong to the holistic-health topic. Having influence or lack of it affects us mentally and thus indirectly physically too. If any one is interested in that group, they are welcome. As for myself, I am too busy to join one more group now. With best wishes, Swamy Group owner --- Having Influence, Simple enuf for Kids even ..Many groups are concerned about minorities, lower classes, religious groups, foreigners, kids et al being ignored, mistreated and abused by various influential or privileged groups in mainstream society. There are many potential remedies and tools available, including networking, which forums like this help with a lot. The most promising tool I've found lately is sociocracy, which means unanimous rule, but with refinements that make it much more workable than bare-bones consensus. One of these is dividing large groups into small groups. It's hard to get unanimity in large groups, but much easier in small ones. Judeo-Christianity is very compatible with unanimous rule as per the biblical books about the Judges, Mat. 20:25-28 etc. Such a method of reaching decisions promises to reduce abusiveness in society by those in power and others. ..I've just compiled a book, in cooperation with a dozen other writers, which discusses this method briefly, but there's a new forum I found at www.sociocracy, which is having very interesting discussions on the subject that, I think, many of you would benefit from and could share many of the ideas with your local groups or families. You can also do net searches on " sociocracy " to get more background info on the subject. ..If you think it makes sense or not to check out the sociocracy forum above, I'd enjoy hearing from you at LKINDR . By the way, I'm not an owner or moderator of the forum and wasn't asked to promote it. It just makes sense to me as an aid to effective networking. Aloha.
