Guest guest
Caoimhe... I think you'll find a lot of love and support on this list, Caoimhe. You may also take comfort in knowing that Louise Hay was herself sexually abused, and she turned that experience into the source for her own healing and that of millions of others. One thing you might consider on your journey of self-healing is the use of the word " work. " What does that word bring to mind for you? Most people tend to think of " work " as difficult, something they must do, and " play " as fun but frivolous. What do you suppose would happen if you began to think of the process of your self-healing as play? What happens when " work " becomes a joy and play allows us full access to our creativity? It sounds as though you've been making good progress, and it may be time for you to celebrate how far you have come. You might want to mark the anniversary by getting a cake for yourself. Put a candle on it, envision where and how you want to be in a year. Make a wish or say a prayer for Highest Good, and then blow the candle out. If possible, have a friend take a picture of you while you blow the candle out. Let the anniversary mark a new beginning for you. Peace & love, Joel -- ------------------------------ Joel P. Guest guest
Joel, Thanks for you kind message. Yes, I do take comfort in that fact about Louise Hay; it's one of the things that keeps making me get up and face every day with a smile. I think I reached that conclusion you mentioned about self-healing myself a long time ago without realising it. No matter what I've been going through I always made time every day to celebrate the fact that I was still alive and breathing. This could be as simple as getting up a little early and making good coffee for breakfast or like today when I went into dublin, got myself wrist supports, a new backpack (both Nike - just do it, which I think is apt), had food I wanted for my lunch, went to the movies and saw a comedy and bought myself some art materials and other treats on the way home. I also paid off debts I owed to people. Later this evening when my aunt and granny go to the church to pray, I'm going to go and get chinese food for myself. Today I marked all I have achieved and will achieve in the time to come. As we say in Irish GO RAIBH MÍLE MAITH AGAIBH GO LÉIR (THANK YOU ALL A THOUSAND TIMES OVER) Caoimhe Plus - For a better Internet experience
