Many times a complication of hypertension, diabetes etc. So, holistic treatment should address all aspects of the person, physical, mental and emotional. If no other symptom is present except for glaucoma, which, I think is rather rare, still it can be treated by homeopathy. She's not on the net and spends a lot of time playing the bassoon in various orchestras, so it may take a while! In the meantime, starting to improve your eyesight in general may well help in the long run. (Impossible to guarantee anything, so must be very careful with the wording.) I will forward your email on to the Bates Method list from www.seeing.org, you may get some useful ideas from them. (The website of the Bates Association for Vision Education.)
