I am 36 years old and have the same hearing loss in both my ears detected 5 years ago.I did not have it since birth although my ENT told me it is acquired genetically in my case as my mother and her side of the family have the same kind of loss.This loss is a nerve damage so cannot be altered,but there are a few suggestions which i hope will help your son. Homeopathy is a definite YES.It heals from within and has excellent results as long as you have a good classical homeopath. This kind of hearing loss is usually aggravated by excess noise/usage of antibiotics/too much of stess and illnesses.So it is always better to switch to alternative medicine to build up his immunity.
