My father has mesothelioma - an asbestos related terminal cancer. He is only 55. recently my father has developed a bad cough as a result of phlegm in his throat. He coughs all the time and cannot sleep lying down. He also has very swollen legs and feet. We've tried inhalers, cough medicine, throat sweets, codine linctus and nothing has worked. Do you have any ideas? Carctol is a good Indian herb for increasing white cells, as is MGN-3 but Japanese. Both get better results out of chemotherapy and help reduce side effects. It is more likely that good immune system boosters like echinacea and cat's claw might help. Have you checked with a homeopath to see if he has any parasites, viral, bacterial or yeast infections - sounds like he could have somethging else dragging down his immune system that you are not treating. Whatever you do - do not give him beta carotene which can worsen events if someone has asbestos poisoning of the lungs. Are you in the USA or UK. You say you covered Lung Cancer and Carctol earlier...can I still obtain this information at all? We are in the UK. I work in London and I live with my parents just outside Cambridge. I was giving my father Q10, Astraglus and Spirulina but he stopped taking it. He's not keen on taking lots of pills with no guarantee they are helping. He also suffers from bloating and therefore finds it hard to take tablets after eating because of this. Poor thing has such a sore throat and chest from constant coughing and such bad phlegm, any advice would be so very much appreciated. I am happy to call you if you like. Many many thanks in advance. If he's getting bloating you can be pretty certain he has some form of parasite or yeast. Kill it off quickly.
