I found this wonderful info on a new forum which stressed how important virgin coconut oil can be in management of diabetes and many other diseases. The writer's views are pretty much totally in agreement with mine. His website (non-commercial) has absolutely incredible information on it. I HAD to send this on to everyone I care about.

In my studies of nutrition over the last 30 years I have learned that type II diabetes is almost entirely a condition that is caused by a bad diet. Diets high in refined carbs and starches cause fungi to invade your body. The mycotoxins created by these fungi are what cause the diabetes. I have also learned that it is a curable disease. By eliminating the foods that feed and promote fungi, you can kill them off. This restores the natural function of the pancreas, as well as many other benefits. My wife was well on her way to diabetes, at 400 pounds. She was in terrible health. When we started dealing with the fungal infections that were behind her condition, she started regaining her health and has lost over 160 pounds since Jan 28, 2002. We have seen many health problems vanish; heart palpitations and irregular heartbeat, acid reflux, chronic fatigue, aspergillus respiratory infection, high blood pressure, chronic indigestion and it even has reduced her symptoms of menopause. For more info about the way we eat, go to http://www.commonsensenutrition.net . It is not a commercial site.
