Guest guest
A member contributed this article, but I have had to reject part of it due to some inflammatory information. This part is excellent, however. Also, I used to work in the hospital referred to in Camden, New Jersey, having been born and raised in that part of the world, so it gives that information a bit more credibility. I will simply add that the BEST known and hyped source of glyconutritionals is the LAST place I'd go for them- not in a million years. Linda Are You Sick and Tired of Being Sick and Tired? "A Story that Needs to be Told" Traditional medicine today, as throughout the years, says "take a pill" and get better. If you don't get better, come back, and get more pills. And so it goes. And they call this traditional method "Healthcare".What are these pills? In the real world they're called drugs. Drugs are big business, really big business. The companies that make these drugs like to call them "Pharmaceuticals" instead of drugs. But what are they, really?Pharmaceutical – a toxic, synthetic chemical that impacts the human physiology on a systematic response level. Pharmaceuticals are also an FDA regulated, government controlled category of so our called "Healthcare Industry."All drugs are toxic. Let me say that again…for emphasis. All drugs are toxic. Toxic – caused by a poison or toxin.Toxin – a complex, usually unstable substance, that is very poisonous when introduced directly into the tissues. Synthetic – a product of chemical synthesis; produced artificially: man made; not natural. All drugs have a toxicity level. Exceed the "safe" level and injury or death incurs. Drugs also have interactions with other drugs and these interactions can also cause injury and death. The third leading cause of death in this country is "harmful reactions to medications." (Journal of the American Medical Assoc. 3/5/03 – this article refers to them as Adverse Drug Events – or – ADE's)When you take a medicine (drug), it makes the body have a chemical response – something in the body will changeAn article in the American Family Physician (magazine) states "Drug related mortality of people on medication and in hospitals are now common [place].So, we go to a doctor and let him prescribe an unnatural, man made, toxin to help us "get better". And we pay them to do this to us.And you wonder why you stay sick and tired. Well, now there is a better way to get healthy, be healthy, and stay healthier, longer. An exciting, new, dynamic frontier has emerged. Neutriceuticals are ushering in the Wellness Industry. What are Neutriceuticals?Neutriceuticals – They are defined as the non-toxic food components of naturally occurring, plant based molecules that have been isolated, purified, and standardized. Scientifically, they must also prove a health benefit. Neutriceuticals have been around for a long time. But it was not until 1994 that the industry was acknowledged and allowed by our government to make health claims - when the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act of 1994 (DSHEA) was passed. This single act allowed the Neutriceutical industry to make claims of health benefits, as long as they could be scientifically proven. This act also gave the Neutriceutical companies a renewed drive and vigor to continue their research because they could now publish their findings. This new research gave rise to an even more astonishing new discovery – Glyconutritionals – the fastest growing new scientific field of the last decade. It will also dominate the scientific field during this decade. This single discovery is destined to change the Healthcare Industry into the Wellness Industry.Once upon a time our bodies had the capability to heal themselves. We received everything we needed (nutritionally) from our food. Over the last sixty (60) years or so, we have infected the earth, the air, and the water with thousands of chemicals. The chemicals are in everything we eat, breathe, and touch today. It is a very costly process to try to eliminate these chemicals from the food we eat and the air we breathe. In reality, we can't. In our food these chemicals destroy the vast majority of the very nutrients we need. What's left nutritionally, we destroy in our food processing. In essence, our food today is nutritionally anemic. It is really just filler for our bodies. And our bodies were designed to process food for nourishment, so we still need to eat the food. But we now must go outside our food supply to obtain our daily nutrients if we want to remain healthy. Our bodies have the capability and capacity to heal, repair, defend, and regulate themselves when they receive the (proper) nutrition they require. The American Medical Association NOW recognizes the need to go outside the standard food chain for our daily needed nutrition, and have added supplemental Vitamins and Minerals at the top the food chain as a daily requirement.Glyconutritionals – "Sugars that Heal". That's right, I said heal. (From the book by Emil I. Mondoa, M.D. - A revolutionary healing program based on eight natural essential sugars) http://www.gmushrooms.com/books/Sugars.htmHere is an excerpt from a review of Dr. Mondoa's book…….."Sugars that heal" it sounds like a contradiction in terms, but it's the key to one of the most important breakthroughs in recent medical science. We've all been bombarded with warnings about the evils of consuming too much sugar. But, in fact, for our bodies to function properly, we need small amounts of eight essential sugars, only two of which--glucose and galactose--are commonly found in our limited, over processed diets. When all eight sugars are available, the health benefits can be breathtaking: Individuals regain their ability to fight disease, reactivate their immune systems, and are able to ward off infection. Based on cutting-edge research in the rapidly evolving science of glyconutrients, Sugars That Heal is an exciting new approach to health and disease prevention. As medical doctor and scientific researcher Emil Mondoa explains, these eight essential sugars, known as saccharides, are the basis of multicellular intelligence--the ability of cells to communicate, cohere, and work together to keep us healthy and balanced. Even tiny amounts of these sugars--or lack of them--have profound effects. In test after test conducted at leading institutes around the world, saccharides have been shown to lower cholesterol, increase lean muscle mass, decrease body fat, accelerate wound healing, ease allergy symptoms, and allay autoimmune diseases such as arthritis, psoriasis, and diabetes. Bacterial infections, including the recurrent ear infections that plague toddlers, often respond remarkably to saccharides, as do many viruses--from the common cold to the flu, from herpes to HIV. The debilitating symptoms of chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, and Gulf War syndrome frequently abate after adding saccharides. And, for cancer patients, saccharides mitigate the toxic effects of radiation and chemotherapy--while augmenting their cancer-killing effects, resulting in prolonged survival and improved quality of life.Sugars That Heal offers a revolutionary new health plan based on the science of glyconutrients--foods that contain saccharides. It gives authoritative guidance for getting all eight saccharides conveniently into your diet through supplements and readily available foods, as well as detailed information on correct dosages. Here, too, are chapters dealing with the special nutritional needs of people suffering from cancer, heart disease, asthma, and neurological disorders, and methods for using glyconutrients to treat depression, obesity, and ADHD.The more doctors learn about glyconutrients, the more excited they become about their long-term fundamental health benefits. Now, with this new book, the breakthroughs in the study of glyconutrients are available to everyone. Whether your goal is to prevent disease, live longer and better, or treat a serious illness that has eluded conventional medicine, Sugars That Heal is your essential guide to complete health. From the Publisher: "Dr. Mondoa has made an important contribution to our discovery of how Nature aids in the healing process." --Gary Null "Wow...what an absolutely fantastic breakthrough. Every once in awhile a book like this is published. Sugars That Heal will change your life." --Dharma Singh Khalsa, M.D., author Brain Longevity and The Pain Cure "Sugars That Heal is an excellent resource and reference for individuals who are looking for solutions for many common health problems. Most people are not aware of how tremendously helpful essential saccharides can be, so Sugars That Heal is really on the cutting edge of the latest medical research." --Susan Lark, MD, author of The Chemistry of Success "Sugars That Heal is a breakthrough book. Unfortunately, information about the beneficial, healing sugars and polysaccharides has been "lost" in the well-deserved ocean of bad publicity about our nation's enormous over consumption of sucrose, fructose, and refined carbohydrate. In Sugars That Heal, Dr. Emil Mondoa and Mindy Kitei present for us a well-documented book about the good sugars and polysaccharides, with details on both their preventive and therapeutic effects. This book will fill an important gap in our health libraries. Highly recommended!" --Jonathan V. Wright, M.D., co-author of "The Patient's Book of Natural Healing," and "Natural Hormone Replacement."
