Guest guest
Hi, everyone! Looks like moderating this list was a great thing for all of us...got rid of those who were clogging up our mailboxes with useless postings. I need to know more about YOU now! I have been an herbalist for close to 40 years, and I have come to specialize in several areas, especially metabolic syndrome (also known as Type II diabetes) and its complications. I've also had a thriving business over the years aiding mostly women with panic and anxiety disorders. I'm violently opposed to most of the medications used to treat these problems, as the meds commonly cause more problems than they solve. It's also of tremendous concern to me what we, especially in the US, are doing to our children in our treatment of ADD, ADHD, ODD, and other nasty sounding afflictions, almost ALL of which are easily remedied with dietary changes and some pointed supplementation. Another major area where I've had a lot of success is the respiratory system, and circulatory system. I also have a lot of expertise with joint pain. I write this in order that we can begin a dialogue with a view towards helping each other. This is a JOINT effort of pooling our knowledge - I just see myself as kind of the coach! For those who feel the need, I'd love to hear from you personally. You can email me at ForumsNStuff. I hope this forum will soon become a shining light for all who are in need of healing. I don't mind folks knowing my situation. In reading about me, they might learn something that I learned the hard way. It's hard to know where to start. I've had respiratory problems since infancy. Chronic bronchitis, coughs that would not go away, severe congestion. Also chronic joint pain, even as a child and teenager. This dismissed as " growing pains " by our family doctor. Weak ankles that would " turn " at the drop of a hat. Anxiety. Bad breath. Chronic constipation. A vicious circle. Amazing how the chronic constipation cleared up for me last year as soon as I started taking a really good enzyme, between meals instead of with meals, and now my skin and hair look better than they have in ages. Amazing, too, how the bad breath was related not so much to the constipation but to chronic sinus drip (which also improved with the enzymes though it had improved significantly years before when I found an allergy medication that worked for me) and the bad breath was also a sign of my hypoglycemic episodes. Now the flip side. After having suffered with undiagnosed hypoglycemia for years (and being accused of being the nervous type when, in fact, my anxiety only gets bad when my blood sugar is low) I'm Type II diabetic. Exercise is tough since I have also developed fibromyalgia and asthma but I'm exercising regularly. Joints still a problem... as are bad ligaments. It's not so much the knee itself that hurts as a spot on the inside of the leg, just below knee level, a place the ligaments attach. So I limp sometimes as I walk the dog... So I'm not as fast as I once was... I'm not giving up. Back problems from a car accident and the excess weight I carry... Weird blood sugars that go up by themselves even though I haven't eaten. Waking with levels higher than when I went to bed although I've eaten nothing for more than 8 hours. I could go on and on. Over the years I've tried many things, some work, some don't. I'm always open to looking at something new. So put me down as having allergies, asthma, fibromyalgia, hypertension, hyperglycemia (Type II diabetes treated by Glucophage and Glucotrol)... oops, did I mention that I also have candida that I can't seem to completely get rid of? It's tougher than the parasites that I got rid of!! Geez.
