Guest guest
This is a question for those who are familiar with these superfoods as well as deal with Ayurveda. My limited understanding is that the foods that Ayurveda lists/recommends are limited to what people in India have been eating for centuries. Discovery of superfoods like Spirulina and chlorella are a rather recent phenomenon and the samhitas do not have a mention of them anywhere. At the same time, Ayurveda lays out framework to judge/analyze unknown-to-Ayurveda foods and herbs. With that said, does anyone know if our digestive system is not meant for taking in these superfoods. That is, if I take the superfoods on a regular basis, it will reduce the digestive fire; or, if they are not absorbed/assimilated as well as other regular foods; etc. Any insight will be helpful. Guest guest
Matt It would seem to me that the foods you mentioned are bitter foods and if grown in sea water, then also salty.
