I thought anemia was an iron deficiency?

---Alobar,

Anemia IS an iron deficiency, however copper also plays an

important role! Copper binds with iron and protein to form

hemoglobin (red blood cells).

OK. I just wasn't sure if it was a misprint.

  • 7 years later...

I use ordinary tea to rinse out my dogs' eyes. If you are in Calcutta, I

can recommend an optician who is very open to ayurvedic principles.

In my views you should try " Referesh Tears " by Allergan India pvt. ltd. Mind

well I am not a doctor or a person who doesn't have any medico knowledge and the

drop advised is on personal experience only. Moreover you can try

" Gulabjal " (RoseWater).

Wishing you good Health

You have to force feed him  different kinds of foods. It is through foods that

we get all our nutrition, If the food is not proper then even the medicines

don't have an effect. Triphala is very good for the eyes.

Hi Rachna!

Here is my advice for you in regards to your sons eyes:

Amalaki is wonderful herb in most any form for the eyes...tablets, drops,

fresh jam, try to make sure it is wild Amalaki, most non-wild is hybrid.

Triphala eyewash is great. It doesn't have to be the painful wash with an

eye cup. Make the triphala tea, strain through organic (brown) coffee filter

and dip in an organic cotton ball. Swipe this over closed eye, over the lid.

Its soothing instead of stinging.

Hide the good veggies in soups, sauces etc., putting through the blender

makes them invisible! Most kids are so hungry after school they will eat

anything set before them...I try to have a bowl of something hot and veggie

rich when they walk in the door.

Do you make your own ghee? Make the old fashioned kind from curd instead of

stick butter. Its the enzymes that make ghee properly light, dissolve toxins

and feed ojas. Here, we have to take organic heavy cream, make into yogurt

first, then make into butter. Another huge advantage to this is, when

whipping the yogurt-cream into butter, the leftover takra/true buttermilk is

heavenly and so great for your son, and high pitta...eyes are pitta organs.

Besides eating this ghee liberally, a bit can be wiped on the lid before

bed.

A few simple eye exercises....looking in eight directions, far and close.

Maybe most important..is limiting the amount of computer, cell phone, tv and

video game usage. I know, hard for a boy that age. Its not the eye strain as

much as the electro-magnetic fields. My eyes are my weak point...I've had

surgeries. I never use a cell phone except emergencies, but did once and

ended up talking for 40 minutes. My face got hot on that side! and

red....and I discovered that eye's sight got very blurry and was that way

for almost a week. My lineage has whole protocol to counteract EMF's, but

basically nature is the best antidote.

Good luck!

Blessings,

Nancy

I have the same experience of using Swami Ramdevji's eye drops known as

Drishti.  I had no problem at all with the eyes as the drops have very good

effect. All my friends who have used them all over the world are having the same

experience. If used regularly even once a day may keep the cataract away.

Yes Acharya Ji. Along with that I am taking Amla Juice and Amalki Rasayan from

Divya Pharmacy. Really Amla Juice also helps. Diva Pharmacys products are very

much cost effective. 1 Litre of  Divya Pharmacy Amla Juice is costing

Rs.90/-(95% Purity and remaining preservative) but other branded companies

charges between  Rs.180-240  per Litre.

regards,

Harish
