Guest guest
You are absolutely right. I find it the same. You know we were persuing MA political science and we used to have mock parliament. Once the leader of the opposition stated in his lecture that " if Africa was the most developed country, today our women would be applying black face powder rather than white. " This was forty years back but I find it such a valid statement. ________________________________ Why are so many people in India so concerned that their skin be pale? Guest guest
The fashion preference for the color of skin changes with the economy. Hundreds of years ago, when ordinary people worked out of doors, rich people took pains to have skin as white as possible, even to the point of using lead creams. (I don't suppose Queen Elizabeth I realized that the lead was ravaging her face.) Later, when the Industrial Revolution moved workers into factories, rich people cultivated tans to show they had lots of time to lie around under the sun, (That also ravaged the skin, not to mention causing cancer.) Now that we realize that all this is silly, people should be going with the color they were born with. But apparently not. I was amazed in India to see shelves filled with products that are from companies I know, but the products are touted as able to make the skin pale. Shades, so to speak, of Michael Jackson. Guest guest
You have made a good point. People should not worry about the skin colour. Instead, if they look after themselves well, they will be conferred a natural glow to feel the natural beauty. Without worrying, if only Aloe Vera and Amla (Indian gooseberry) juices are taken say 20 ml each twice or thrice a day, it works wonders for enjoying good health and natural beauty. I am saying this with personal experience even at my age of 78 plus. Aongwith that, if some one wants to loose weight, one can do Kapaal-bhaati pranayam for about 20 minutes twice a day on empty stomach. That has also worked for me very well. So, wishing all online friends the very best, I close whis post hoping that it might benefit some one some where.
