A friend of my wife is a healthy male. He has a thumb that swells up and

sometimes becomes red and white because of a little pus. Most of the time, it

is drier than the other fingers and the skin cracks from dryness. Why is this?

What can he do about it?

Please do culture and sensitivity test and give antibiotics according to

the test result. Give a small incision also to drain the pus daily.
