Hi,

I decided to check a very sensitive mouth and found out I have what is called

oral lichen planus. The treatment is a course of steroids which does not

guarantee that it will be eradicated. From what I read on the net people have it

for ten - twenty years. If it acts up its back to steroid treatment. I am 52,

have one kidney (since age 3) and am not very happy about going on steroids. I

did read that there are good results from ayurvedic and homeopathic treatments.

But I am not sure if the medication used is detrimental to the kidney or liver.

I also have gall stones (which I flush out) and a slightly fatty liver.

I live in Malaysia and would like to know if there are any reputable Ayurvedic

practitioners in this country.

The cause for lichen is not really known. BP medication and emotional stress are

possible causes the doctors say. I am on Norvasc and my life is a highly

emotional one with an autistic self injurious son and family members who don't

have the strength to deal with it.

Your input is most dearly valued.

Susila
