Guest guest
Are there any ayurvedic remedies for Appendicitis? Over the last few weeks, I get pain in my lower right abdomen. It usually occurs after eating meals. I am suspecting it might potentially lead to apendicitis. Any help will be much appreciated. Guest guest
I had once cured my daughter using castor oil and acupressure. I am not a doctor but i new that appendix happens due to constipation and i knew that my daughter was more or less constipated. I gave her castor-oil in the night and pressed the acupressure points for appendix. The pain was there till next morning. I took her to a doctor for diagnosis. He said it was appendicitis and advised me to take her to the surgeon. Instead I brought her home and further pressed the acupressure points. It has not occured again. Stomach should keep clearing itself. for which just chewing the food very well also helps. ________________________________ Are there any ayurvedic remedies for Appendicitis? Guest guest
For the longest time no one knew what the Appendix was for… I just heard recently, that it is a hiding place for the good intestinal flora during an intestinal purge… This way they can repopulate afterwards…I don't know if this is true or not but it does make sense to me… An Appendicitis, or in other words " inflammation of the Appendix " Could be caused by constipation but then you have to ask your self what is causing the constipation… From an Ayurvedic point of view research for this is easy… An Appendicitis is very dangers because if it burst, it can cause instant abdominal and blood toxicity, and death can follow quickly if not taken care of. If I were in your shoes I would take 1000mg, of Golden seal root twice a day and eat lots of fresh yogurt, to reestablish good intestinal flora… The Golden seal root is one of the few herbs that is an anti-bacterial, so should be treated as such and taken for only 10 days… It is also an anti-inflammatory and should help calm this down… You need to take a look at your diet and see what is causing this… Good luck… Noel
Guest guest
I have been under impression so far that while eating, many a times we also eat hair in the food without knowledge. The hair gets stuck in the appendix and causes appendicitis. Is this a myth?
Guest guest
Thank you everyone for your quick replies. I went to my allopathic doctor today to get it checked. He said it was not appendicitis and it actually was Inguinal Hernia (right side near groin). He obviously suggested surgery. Are there any Ayurvedic / Yoga cures for Hernia? Guest guest
I have found these in home remedies . These would look like no treatment in front of surgery. But believe me that most of the times small things work wonders. http://www.morphemeremedies.com/homeremedies_hernia.htm http://www.healthguidance.org/entry/4890/1/Home-Remedies-for-Hernia.html ________________________________ He said it was not appendicitis and it actually was Inguinal Hernia (right side near groin). Guest guest
Aashish, Instead of leaving the diagnosis part to an allopath and asking ayurvedic/yoga remedies from this forum, you should meet a vaidya and get checked up freshly. Seeking solutions from ayurveda/yoga, for questions such as " how to reduce uric acid, cholesterol etc " is a recent avatar of ayurveda. Making diagnosis from allopathic philosophy avoids going to the root cause of the dis-ease. The reason for this is is the case from author's diary where an acute appendicitis needing surgery within 2-3 days was the allopathic diagnosis. Change of food, lifestyle and a single medicine (not a pharmacy formulation, nor a pain killer) at bedtime for a week and followed by two bastis eliminated the mucoid plaques, colony of worms and pain; and after two years, the patient is pain free. Thus surgery was unnecessary. There are several other conditions which could give pain in the same area, which need to be considered. Hernia too has non-surgical remedies, which are patient specific and could be decided based on personal check up only. Meet a vaidya. _______________ He said it was not appendicitis and it actually was Inguinal Hernia (right side near groin). He obviously suggested surgery. Guest guest
Mr . Ashish . Progressive literally means the exacerbation of the condition .. It means that , if the pain is increasing with time or the episodes r increasing , u have to go for laparatomy ( opening of the abdomen by surgery ) . The condition can be tackled on these guidelines . _____________________________ What do you mean by " Progressive " ? Could you please explain.
