Guest guest
Dear Mr. Rafeeq, Firstly, 6 years is a phase when the brain is growing rapidly, scientists believe that the child's brain grows @ 20% every year. It is not the correct age to arrive at any conclusions on whether an individual's memory is good or bad. Hence, immediately stop labelling your child as having a memory problem, you might actually do irreparable damage to her self-confidance, emotional stability and natural growth. It is a widely acknowledged fact that, every child is unique in his/her physical, mental and emotional make up and have varying degrees and rates of growth. Hence, we must desist from comparing one's child to another as it can mis-lead us to drawing erroneous conclusions. The childhood is a phase where we should only be assisting the natural growth of the children through nutritious food, a clean environment and lots of love and affection. Although it does not mean that you should not be monitoring her growth, but please note that milestones are not absolute indicators of normal growth, they are indicative only. However, if you are concerned that your child might be having a memory problem, I advice the following: 1. Give her a generous amount of pure cow's ghee along with her diet (except in the night and with cold food) 2. Give her freshly prepared food (especially boiled vegetable and greens) 3. Give her 1 tsp of manduka parni/brahmi (centella asiatica) leaf juice mixed with honey early in the morning. 4. 1 Shankhapushpi Tablet at bed time. Do not reprimand her or confront her with the fact that she has a memory problem, I am quite sure, it will be counter productive, she will be alright as she grows up.
