Guest guest
Dear Friends, We have forgotten what good health is. Many of us are fully dependent on medication. We tend to think good health cannot be achieved without medicines. For those of us who desparately need a tablet to feel ok it is actually so. Today there is a movement to take charge of our health and well being. People are getting up early in the morning to go to yoga centers. The infirm are turning to pranayama. But once we return from the classes we are back to our old selves. Health requires coperation and steadfastness. Our OWN cooperation. We take up some exercise and then discontinue it. Not only do we need to apply ourselves to that one hour slot but also carry the experience over to the rest of the day. We are all subject to our own shortcomings if not negativities. We need to correct our bikaras as ayurvedic texts say. We need to develop positivity and shun negativity. We need to stop thinking about our own welfare and cultivate the nature of helping others. If we have faced a difficulty it should prompt us to save others from it. Selfnessless is life, selfishness takes us one step away from health. After studying a few books we feel we know everything though at every step life challenges us. A close watch on OUR OWN selves will keep us away from discomfort and disease. We wish to control others without having any self control. If we can control ourselves, mend our bad habits and depart from our old ways after humbly recognising our quirks then healing begins. Mental and emotional hygiene is much more important than Lifeboy, Dettol or Dove. I found a good article on the net on stress. Kindly go through it. Regards, Jagannath.
