Guest guest
Dear All, My mother had problem of knee joints and she took accupunture therapy. Doctor told her that one of the major problem with young generation is that they do not eat " ghee " . One-two tea spoons of ghee is good for your eyes and essential for lubrication of joints. Lack of calcium is another reason for joints problems, especially in women after menopausal phase. Dairy products are considered one of the richest source of calcium. If you have allergy to milk products (lactose intolerance) or you don't like milk, there are many other food products that can provide you your daily dose of calcium: http://www.knowabouthealth.com/get-enough-calcium-from-non-dairy-sources/ I look forward for suggestions about the sources mentioned in the article. If you know of more sources, other than mentioned in the article, I would appreciate it. It will benefit all of us. Thanks and Regards, Pankaj
Guest guest
I agree .. Apart from Lactose intolerance, there is also the factor of adulterated milk If one had access to sources of calcium other than dairy products, it would indeed be a great help ... If I am not mistaken, I remember reading that the body requires Vitamin C to process the Calcium as well as exposure to Sunlight ... The fact remains that our modern lifestyles have completely disrupted the normal routines of the body ... The human body was not made to sit in AC rooms for 8 to 10 hours of the day with no exposure to sunlight or physical labour ... Thanks for the info provided in this group With best wishes from Rahul, (bruntno1 Cybugle) Owner/Moderator - The CYBUGLE & 60seconds ______________ Dairy products are considered one of the richest source of calcium. Guest guest
In Louisiana, it is traditional to eat greens boiled with a little vinegar and sugar to get calcium. Tastes wonderful too. _____________ If you know of more sources, other than mentioned in the article, I would appreciate it. It will benefit all of us. Guest guest
What I have learned is that Ayurveda suggests sesamy seeds to maintain a good level of calcium in your body. you can make it part of your daily regimen, before breakfast eat a handfull of the seeds, chew properly! It's also pretty easy to digest.
