Guest guest
Sai Ram. This article is very important and I request all my friends to read it carefully. Pl. discuss the health risks of undergoing an angiography, CT-Scan etc. with the doctor next time he / she recommends the same. The benefit should be far more than the risk to justify the test, both in terms of the expense and the subsequent health risk! Guest guest
If you take metformin or other diabetes drugs, do not forget ask your doctor about stopping them before the test. There are many articles on places like medscape.com about the dangers of these drugs and the dyes and how people have had to have dialysis afterwards to clean out their systems. Also ask the doctor if you should have extra iv hydration after the tests if you have been taking these drugs. I noticed when I had my angiogram last that they did all this and looked it up because these tests are very invasive and scary and I tend to be paranoid about all that.
