I have never found psyllium to work either, and in many people it can make it

worse. What I have found to work is a cereal that is easily found in most

supermarkets made by Kashi. It is called Good Friends 50% Fiber. It is very

high in fiber. I have a bowl with almond milk a couple of hours before bedtime.

Personally I have never found psyllium husk to be effective in relieving

constipation - the water on its own is usually sufficient -
