Guest guest
If you are following 1 hour meditation daily as prescribed by Baba Ramdevji then it should take care of most of the ills without much medication. Although I am not a medical expert, I have greatly benefited by the follow practices daily since the age 0f 60 right upto now at 78 without any health complications or medical assistance. Hence no harm in trying. It should boost up your general health and well-being. Since many of my friends and followers of Swami Ramdevji Maharaj might naturally be interested, I am giving below the Daily Prnayam Package for information and guidance. Please forward this to your friends and relatives also who may not like to ordinarily fall sick and get trapped in the clutches of the so called modern medicine: THE PACKAGE: 1. " OMKAR " (3 times, loudly and with full mental and spiritual concentration - 1 MINUTE). 2. GAYATRI & MRITYUNJAYA MANTRAS (1 MINUTE) 3. BHASTRIKA PRANAYAM: (3 MINUTES) 4. KAPAAL-BHATI - 5 MINUTES followed by Sukshma Vyayam (light exercises for feet - 1 minute). 5. KAPAAL-BHATI (2nd round of 5 minutes) followed by Sukshma Vyayam for the hands - 2 minutes). 6. KAPAAL-BHATI (3rd round of 5 minuts) followed by 7. BAHYA-PRANAYAM (5 times taking about 3 minutes) followed by Agni-saar Prakriya twice or thrice taking about two minutes) and Sukshma Vyayam for the shoulders - three types taking about 2 minutes). 8. ANULOM-VILOM PRANAYAM (5 minutes) followed by Sukshma Vyayam for the eyes and the neck - about 4 types turning eyes side to side and round, so too the neck) taking about two minutes. 9. ANULOM-VILOM PRANAYAM (2nd round of 5 minutes) followed by Grinding and Butter-fly movements taking about two minutes. 10. ANULOM-VILOM PRANAYAM (3rd round of 5 minutes) followed by Yogic Jogging and seven Asanas - Mandukasan, Shalbhasan, Shaskasan, Makarasan, Bhujangasan, Markatasan and Simhasan taking about 18 minutes). 11. BHRAMARI PRANAYAM (5 times taking about 2 minutes). 12. UDGEET PRANAYAM (5 times taking about 2 minutes). 13. PRANAV PRANAYAM (about 1 or 2 minutes). 14. HASYASAN (Laughter) & SHANTI-PATHA (2 minutes) (This will all take about 1 hour and 15 minutes for 26 pranayams and asanas - which can be adapted to individual capacity and requirement). If these are practiced alongwith the 3-minute spine rejuvenation exercises as propounded by the author at www.atbsnr.com, You Tube, VCD and his book, dedicated to Baba Ramdev, on " Say No To BACK PAIN - A Simple Self-cure Spine Yoga " (the book is available at a concessional price at the National Institute of Naturopathy's Health Shop, Pune-1), as also by joining BackacheFreeWorld simultaneously following various Do's and Don'ts about good and " Satvik " food and plenty of water to drink, then one need not ordinarily fall sick throughout one's life unless it is some outside infection or epidemic disease the incidence and intensity of which too get considerably reduced. May God Bless You All, being HIS OWN CHILDREN, Forwarded with compliments and best wishes. Guest guest
Did your pain reduce after ceasing the Lipitor? I have currently taken several patients off Lipitor and am interested to see their improvement occurs quite quickly. Carrots and sunlight are highly beneficial in reducing cholesterol levels, but please remember that these figures are snatched out of the air by pharmaceutical scientists in order to frighten people into taking Lipitor in the first place, there are other far more relevant symptoms to gauge one's health status. Carrot with other fresh juices would be beneficial to your current needs + a decent amount of water intake, and deep pressure to the right groin, just inside the hip over where the appendix usually is, to ensure that the ileo caecal valve has not become spastic and causing your constipation, lie flat on your back with support under the knees and relax and apply the pressure for a few minutes only - this also often removes low back pain. Guest guest
Jane: I take no meds, and was able previously to reduce cholesterol, and help prevent atherosclerosis by taking Niacin, Folic Acid, Vit B1 & Vit B12. In fact, one of the meds prescribed cardiologists is Niacin, under a different name. Likewise, it is known that Fish oils rich in EPA/DHA are very beneficial for heart health. It is now available on prescription. I also am aware, that there are several Ayu meds which can also control cholesterol. __________ Did your pain reduce after ceasing the Lipitor? Guest guest
More than Triglycerides(TG), other symptoms of perimenopause would be causing distress. While Garlic, ginger are already suggested to you as those causing reduction of TG, Triphala also gives good benifits in general. Reducing Sedentary lifestyle is needed. In case Garlic is disliked or found unsuitable from allergic reactions angle, try following mixture: Ginger powder, Fenugrek powder, Aswagandha powder, Turmeric powder. Mix in equal proportion and put in a bottle. 1 tsp powder swallowed with warm water, after lunch and dinner. The above mixture balances vata and kapha to a less extent. Joint pains, insomnia, anxiety, incontinence, flatulence, bloating, dry skin, hair loss, mood swings, irritability,... are variety of conditions where it helps. Also reduces Triglicerides and LDL, if taken along with Triphala Guggul, or Triphala powder with 2 tablets of Shilajit Rasayan. Thus in addition to above mixture and Triphala which you are taking already, if you add just 2 tablets of Shilajit Rasayan after meal, most complaints of peri-menopaus stage get solved. Please do not treat above as ayurvedic advise, this is what works in the authors experience with women in similar age group and having truncal obesity, flabby tummies, suffering from several conditions described above. Constant fatigue may reduce. Some weight loss caused by Shilajit rasayan reducing water retention may also be a bonus. While personal consultation with a vaidya may lead to more focussed suggestion, your being away from any vaidya precludes it. Whatever suggestions given by group members you follow, posting the feedback after a month or two, will be useful to group members, also serving the purpose for which the group was created.
