Guest guest
Helllo, I have heard that ashwagandha helps in weight loss (amongst other things) and then read that it did the opposite in various studies. Does anyone know if this herb could aid in weight loss or not? I am also curious about acai. HAve read lots of claims but don't know of anyone personally who was tried it. I would appreciate any replies please! Thank you!

Guest guest
Hi, you have confused with your question as i cant understand if you want a medicine to loose your weight or u want the treatment for getting your lost weight. Ashwagandha is basicaly a tonic that helps in gaining the weight. Other than this it have many qualities like improving muscle strains, it is a vigour tonic but it cant decrease your weight. So if you are looking to loose your weight you must follow some panchkarma treatments alongwith medicines. You can simply take a doctors advice at following link regards www.geocities.com/vishwamangal ________ > I have heard that ashwagandha helps in weight loss (amongst other things) and then read that it did the opposite in various studies. Guest guest
If I am right, Ashwagandha leaves reduce weight and the churna with milk help increase weight. Ramdev Baba is always emphasizing the same in his yog science shivirs. S.M.ACHARYA http://health.BackacheFreeWorld ________________ Does anyone know if this herb could aid in weight loss or not? Guest guest
I personally have no luck with ashwaganda, am not quite sure what it is supposed to do. Acai, on the other hand is marvelous, only in pill form however, due to the fact that the juice is awful, not even remotely palatable. Between the resveratrol and the acai I am like a whirling dervish, I have more energy than I know what do with. Keep in mind that I am 60 years old and have more energy than 18 year olds I work with. I highly recommend both. Peace and love Bonnie ___________ > I have heard that ashwagandha helps in weight loss....... > I am also curious about acai. Guest guest
Hi Bonnie! Thank you so much for your response. Well, I have been wondering about acai but have not met anyone personally that has felt great changes from it. I have read that it does in fact grant bursts of energy as a powerful antioxidant. I'm also wondering about the claims that it also helps with weight loss and question whether this is truth or a scam. Have you noticed any changes? Also, do you have any specific brands for the acai supplements to take? I would appreciate your answers on these. Thanks once again! Guest guest
With my job I probably average 4-6 miles a day running back and forth with women's shoe boxes, so yes, I have lost about 58 lbs, due to a RX drug gain, in less than a year. What I did notice is the energy and stamina to keep up with what I do. I really can't claim that the Acai or the Resveratrol caused me to lose weight versus the running around. I suspect it was the exercise, as I can do easily 30 plus miles a week. But I am stronger, more flexible and sleep like the dead at night. I am also eating much better, because my body demands fuel. Before all this I had no appetite at all and could go all day without food, since I am moving about so much my body demands I eat, otherwise I feel sick. I try to eat the Mediterranean way as much as I can and I have noticed an energy boost from this as well. In my opinion exercise is the key. I am 60 years old now, but behave more like an 18 year old and just fly all over the place, carrying 50 plus pound boxes and I never feel tired or strained by this activity. Acai and the Resveratrol definitely keep me going. For the Acai I use Sambazon which I get from www.vitacost.com you really can't get it cheaper any place else. I also use Astaxanthin which I also get from vitacost, much cheaper. It's also an anitioxident called BioAstin, does it help?, I'm not sure, it's just part of my arsenal of herbal remedies. I feel fabulous and hope the same for you....good luck and I hope this helped. Kind of a mini PS, I get my Resveratrol from www.lef.org as I am a member and you get it much cheaper. It cost $75.00 a year to join, but it's a great anti-aging site. Don't know if that is important for you, but the magizines have a plethora of information. I buy four bottles of Resvertrol for $124.00 and it lasts me 8 months. I noticed a great deal of energy within several weeks of use. Peace and love Bonnie _______________ I have been wondering about acai but have not met anyone personally that has felt great changes from it. Guest guest
You are so kind to give me all of that info! Thank you! You have definitely used your personal trials and victories to help someone else in this case. Yes, exercise is medicine. I am very glad you are feeling much better. One of the things that I have read about acai is that it speeds up the metabolism so mabye that was part of it if it happens to be true. In any case, thanks. You are the first person that has replied to my questions about acai! Peace and Love to you too!
