Guest guest
There is a fair amount of discussion about pulses and he " comes out " with his links to Dr. Shen. He certainly does a more concise job of it than Leon Hammer. One problem in this section of pulses is that although many of the pulses are glossed many are not. The book raises the whole question (again) of how much a book should reference Chinese sources. >>>>Unfortunately i do not know Giovanni personally and have not seen him in action which to me is were credibility comes form, being a " chinese " source means nothing to me. I also have a copy of his new book and it is comprehensive but fairly standard except for some of the pulse info. I would have liked to see more personal information from his clinical experience alon

Guest guest
Dear Sir I would like to explain in more detail about Amla pitta. Amla means acidic nature. When Pitta becomes more acidic in nature it is termed as Amla Pitta. In Stomach Hydrochloric acid is secreted which is essential for digestion. Its acidic nature has to be maintained for proper digestion. Excessive secretion in amount and secretion of more concentrated Hydrochloric acid in Stomach leads to Hyper acidity. Ayurveda dose not think AmlaPitta i.e. Hyper acidity in relation to only Stomach. But Amla Pitta as an etiological factor for various diseases. This is the basic difference between Ayurvedic approach and thinking of Allopathy.
