Guest guest
Hello Members, My son is 3 years Old. He always develops dryness of skin especially in Joints, near elbow joint and back side knee joint since very young. We apply a Mixture of Nivea cream and cartisone liquid with an advice from a pediatrician. THen it disappear immediately. If we stop applying the lotion, dryness appears agin. Any Ayurvedic treatment for this? Why its reappearing again and again if we don't apply cartisone. regards, Meha
Guest guest
He's pretty young to be having this… Poor little guy! …Forgive me, but judging by your name, I would have to say your country breeds a higher racial of Pitta people then some of the other colder county's… " Please correct me if I am wrong " … Most high Pitta body types are protected at the kapha stage of life which your son is in… But he could have a Vata or Pitta imbalance at this point… It would be hard to say without seeing him… I would try some Neem oil and see if that doesn't help… You might have to find a good Ayurvedic specialist in your area to assess your little boy to find the imbalance, which I strongly suggest before it turns into a chronic disease…He needs a diet pertaining to his particular problem… I am not trying to scare you, it is just that it is easer to cure an acute problem then a chronic one… God bless and good luck… Noel
Guest guest
You can apply oil rather than chemically produced substances. Make sure that he also eats ghee or oil everyday and drinks enough water - not milk or juice, but water. Be sure to dry the creases of the body after bath Applying oil and then besan and allowing the besan to dry slightly and then gently rubbing the body will help to nourish the skin as well. this can be done as often as possible. If you like, you can mention some information about his diet and bathing schedule. ______________ My son is 3 years Old. Guest guest
Hi - I think your baby has excema. Since these are the same symptoms my child had. Using coritsone/steroids will compromise her immune system even more. Usually this is to do with allergies. I had to take out any dairy, wheat, refined and processed foods from my daughters diet. I applied coconut oil on the dry areas. I am not an expert, this is what an expert suggested I do. I would suggest meeting a good naturopath/ayurvedic doctor to remedy this at a young age. Goodluck, HIral
