Guest guest
namaskar friends. yesterday while walking with my husband a strange thing happened to me. i was walking and all of a sudden my heart started to beat like it was struggling, it's going to sound weird but felt like it was trying to beat under-water. i felt like all my energy was sucked out of me,very tired and weak feeling....and shortness of breath with dry cough.felt like i couldnt get enough air. i am overweight,(200+) i recently changed my diet to low carb,no sugar, gluten, flours, yeast etc. eating more raw veggies.have been losing weight. since sept i have been walking 2hours everyday as exercise.it's hard for me to exercise because i have to use a cane/walking stick since spinal injury.... so what do you wonderful doctors think this could be.and what can i do to help while waiting for an appointment with an ayurvedic doctor. Guest guest
It could be possibly the decreased blood supply towards heart . You should walk slowly and try to get early consultation with ayurveda vaidya . As you are posting your complaints since longer time and everybody have adviced you to consult as early as possible . By just reading your symptoms , it is not possible to diagnose the problem completely . ___________ i was walking and all of a sudden my heart started to beat like it was struggling, it's going to sound weird but felt like it was trying to beat under-water. Guest guest
> i was walking and all of a sudden my heart started to beat like it was struggling, it's going to sound weird but felt like it was trying to beat under-water. The experience described by you can make most doctors minds to race in well formed tracks. However, on second reading with more attention, the confusion can start. Since you are walking everydat 2 hours since september, the kind of stress on your circulatory system is not unusual. If you were walking within 2 hours after lunch or dinner, then situation points to extra stress on heart and lungs. To dwelve deeper in to the possibilities, please visit: ayurveda/message/13227 > i felt like all my energy was sucked out of me,very tired and weak feeling....and shortness of breath with dry cough.felt like i couldnt get enough air. This gasping for breath, tiredness, weak feeling, absence of pain.. could also be due to low blood sugar developed by walking, as you are already avoiding high GI foods. If there was sweating, the low sugar could be the reason. People get a wide variety of symptoms when blood sugar is low. The low sugar situation is ten times more dangerous than high sugar situation. Secondly, the anxiety frow which you were suffering (based on your past postings) could also cause palpitations, breathing difficulties, chest tightness, coughing bout etc, as described by posts titled " Anxiety Panic Attacks " . > i am overweight,(200+) > i recently changed my diet to low carb,no sugar, gluten, flours, yeast etc. > eating more raw veggies.have been losing weight. Your diet is now highly biased towards low carbs, low " quick " energy foods, loosing weight seems to be obsession rather than requirement dictated by body. When diet has nutritional deficiencies, it becomes difficult to predict what exactly might happen. Spinal injury/stress can also cause " difficult to explain " symptoms. Since you have an appointment with Ayurvedic doctor soon, please have patience and await personal consultation, rather than driving body into deeper crisis by remote half-accurate advice. Lemon juice dissolved in water with honey as sweetner is a heart tonic, in addition to detoxifier. Author carries a jumbo size bottle on trekks.
