Hi Peggy... I see that Sally is going to do the detox again. :) I am

wondering if you could please provide us with instructions because I would

like to see the effects of the first one just continue. I'd appreciate it.

Vicki... with appreciation!

Does anyone know what these are: Ten Chinese medicines for the treatment of

opiate addiction have been approved by the Chinese State Food and Drug

Administration (SFDA)

Re: Organic raw herbs - salvia divinorum

I think it is a bad idea for acupuncturists to prescribe an herb that is

also used by people to get high. This could cause serious negative publicity

for the profession in the future. It could even affect malpractice insurance

rates, which are currently fairly reasonable.

Salvia divinorum is also illegal in some countries and a few U.S. states.

People who have smoked it describe the experience as similar to DMT, which

is an intense psychedelic. Do we really want to give this to patients, even

for internal use? What if a patient's kid takes some and smokes it? Even if

the herb has a legitimate therapeutic use, prescribing it could bring

serious problems for TCM. Ecstasy (MDMA) also has legitimate theraputic

potential, as does LSD, but it would be a disaster to prescribe them.

Id like to know too, if anyone has any info.

In terms of western herbalism, Passionflower is one that was approved in

Germany, and I have used a blend containing it and other anxiolytic,

nervine and liver supporting herbs to good effect for opiate withdrawal.

<<<<<<<hi, i've been this group for awhile. After i had my hysterectomy, they

put me on larazapam. That was 3 years ago. Now i'm having a terrible

time coming off it. They now want me to take lexapro. I can't take

that. Also, they have me on menist for menapause. I need help detoxing.

help! Thank, Ramona >>>

Dear Ramona,

Lorazapam and all benzodiazapines are extraordinarily difficult to come off of

because they are highly addictive. The folks over at

www.paxilprogress.org<http://www.paxilprogress.org/> can direct you to a safe

and effective way to taper off these medications. I have sent many people over

there when they had a hard time with antidepressant withdrawal, and they were

very thankful to have found the place.

Good luck dear,

Donna

I like to use FlorEssence. It's a tea you can buy by the bottle, or buy it

in packets and make the tea with your own purified water. It's a whole body

cleanse, and it's very good.

hi

I want to do this detox....has anyone done it ????

This  is a 8 day detox program. Why author calls it a detox programme rather

than Panch Karma procedure is that this program is not covered under traditional

ayurvedic texts.

> Does anyone have any idea if we can do milk detox i.e. drinking only pure

boiled milk for a few days? Perhaps we can add fresh ginger to it? Milk is

supposed to contain all the important vitamins and minerals.

If you mix milk with equal quantity (by volume) of water, add 1/2 tsp of dried

ginger powder per cup of milk, and slow boil till all water has evaporated, the

milk become very easy to digest for those who have milk allergies. If one adds 2

pinches turmeric powder/per cup of milk, before boiling, the likely allergic

reactions are totally taken care of.

If one adds 1-6 tsp of castor oil to a cup of milk boiled in above manner, it

becomes a potent detox medicine, as brout out in Post# 2765 and a testemonial in

post#12819. If sugar is added to warm milk and taken at bedtime, it is a pitta

pacification drink.

What is written above applies only to Indian cow milk, cow with a hump, and one

which likes to graze in sunlight.

> I am talking about milk of cow in France.

If you can get this milk in raw form rather than pasteurised, and subject it to

boiling as stated here, it will digest easily. But for all the reasons that

Jersey cow milk is not medicine, in contrast with that of Indian cow, for same

reasons, you may not get detoxification from French cow. The reasons for these

differences are to be dug up in author's past posts on cow products.

> Khichari (basmati rice + mung dal + spice) is good during detox. Can we not

take rice+milk+ginger? What could be the problem of such a diet during detox?

Take the experience. Use guidelines in post 4511 to decide what is good and bad

for you. Ram Ganesh Gadakari, a well known author of Maharashtra, used to take

onion and tea together. Modern physicians would get shocked. But each one is

unique. As posted in post#12990 and 2157, milk mixing with Khitchri has been a

practice in Saurashtra, where people whose age crossed into three digit number

existed. Hon'ble Morarji Desai, late prime minister of India, was 99 with smooth

skin without wrinkles most of his life. But once again, what is followed in

saurashtra, may not work in France, due to difference in climate, soil, cow

food, her upbringing etc. So eqipped with test in post#4511, go ahead,

experiment on yourself and post your experience which is ultimate knowledge, for

the benifits of other members from France.
