Guest guest
Dear members, what are the ayurvedic herbs or products that i can take regularly to improve general health of my skin.I have developed some fine lines and under eye bags on my face in last 1 and half year which i think is a little premature and i dont want to opt for the anti-aging creams which are so popular nowdays as I m scared they might encourage aging in the long run.I have a pitta dominant prakruti. In winters i eat raw amla regularly and have recently started taking wheat-grass juice. Can aloe vera and and amla juice,if taken together help???Also I have read a lot about shatavari and ashwagandha on net but dont know if they are the right products. Guest guest
Instead of anti ageing creams you try putting honey on your face and neck, around the eyes etc. and see the compliments you get. first time apply it for 2-3 days in succession after that once a week is enough. apply and leave it on for 20 minutes. this is for wrinkles. also eat cinnamon powder, this is also good for fine lines. manjishtha powder is good for applying. apply it like a face mask for 20 minutes. do tell me if you get the results. _________ what are the ayurvedic herbs or products that i can take regularly to improve general health of my skin.I have developed some fine lines and under eye bags on my face in last 1 and half year
Guest guest
Just a thought on aging, and--correspondingly-- " maya " in general, products and prakrti notwithstanding ...: My Mortality Has Yet to Be Proven To me This is something I've been thinking about for a long time. Finally, a thread on the discussion list of India and Euro-Asia origins of culture and language prompted me to post a quick summary. I'm pasting it here in entirety as some topics are just too important not to discuss. There is also extensive evidence of the psychological role of death conceptions' effects on longevity (I regret that the various other directions than academia to which I'm pulled leaves citations outside of my time availability). In effect: from the earliest age, whether it be the dead squirrel in the road, the death of a first goldfish, or of a parent/grandparent/friend - children are taught adumbratively of the inevitability of death. Over time, this has been shown to have neurological implications of conscious and sub-conscious " acceptance " of bodily infirmity as one ages. E.g., " oh, well, yes - I guess my .. (cardio, pulmonary, renal, etc. health systems' failure) is ill/in need of medicines or surgery because I'm getting old ... " -- implication, the mind is socially conditioned to expect, accept, and even identify with systems atrophy. While there is clearly no evidence to rationally think that death _won't_happen, there is also philosophical room and extensive evidence (everyone, everything currently alive) to carve out the belief that --until it does occur-- death is not necessarily inevitable. In other words, how would we live, choose foods, activities, lifestyles, and our overall medical care if we didn't know there was a certain closure? What different ways would we live, things would we choose if we weren't certain of a " life expectancy of ... nn years " ? More so, how would a child taught from birth that death happens, but has yet to be proven inevitable (as long as one human is alive ... logically, it is not proven that death is inevitable or, as I've often put it " my mortality has yet to be proven to me " ) grow up and think of his/her lifespan and life choices if they could not be _certain_ they would die? How would their conscious and sub-conscious respond? I'm reminded of the Steve Martin comedy routine that ran something like this: " ... here's a fun experiment, whenever you're around your child talk _wrong_. use language wrong. so, it's his/her first day of school, they raise their hand and say " may I mumboo dogface to the banana patch? " ..... Not capriciously, of course, but it bears consideration how or if a study of the psychosocial conditioning for inevitable death could ever be mounted. Thank you for indulging me in reading this far in an email with no citations. I thought it better to pass along the basic principle and let folks draw their own conclusions ... than just say nothing. wondering what it'll be like to be 113 and see america at the tricentennial after my memories of 1976 ... and with longevity vs. death's inevitability to all ... john robert John Robert Gardner, Ph.D., NR-EMT Views and opinions expressed are not necessarily those of the National Registry or any related medical authority. ___________________________ Instead of anti ageing creams you try putting honey on your face and neck, around the eyes etc. and see the compliments you get. _________ what are the ayurvedic herbs or products that i can take regularly to improve general health of my skin.I have developed some fine lines and under eye bags on my face in last 1 and half year

Guest guest
hello the best thing to do as anti-aging method, for someone having no time, it will be regulary detoxification few simple examples: 1. one day every week eat nothing, just drink at leat 2 liters of warm water 2. for 3 days in a row, start with one cup of water, room temperature, with 1 teaspoon of MgSO4(Magnesium sulphate, Epsom salt are common names). after half hour start drinking one big glass half water half juice from oranges, grapefruits, lemons or other citrus, combined to each other or simple. drink like this every 2 hours, so, by night you consume liters of fluids (2 liters water + 2 liters citrus juice, equaly combined ) . in the night you are allowed to eat the citrus fruits or, even better, celery, to rebalance the minerals 3. the dr oshawa diet no7: for 10 days eat only wheat, rice, buckwheat, millet, cooked in any manner but only with water and salt. 4. there is a method for 10 days or even 40 days of mild purgation every morning, obtained by using cold watter extract from some combination of 3 categories of plants, lightly warmed up. for this do some research on net, words: virechana or shankh prakshalana then, as a daily recommendation, use only real food, fit to your digestion (not the polimers they usually sell as food), simple, not much combined, eat lots of fresh fruits or even juice from fruits and vegetables, and drink a lot of water ________________________________ what are the ayurvedic herbs or products that i can take regularly to improve general health of my skin.I have developed some fine lines and under eye bags on my face in last 1 and half year which i think is a little premature
