Guest guest
Hello. I would find an Ayurvedic practioner in the US. There are many in California, one in Albuquerque, one in Asheville, NC, one near NYC. There are others. Find the NIAM website and you will find more. Meanwhile, you might want to start taking brain herbs--bacopa and gotu kola. I would recommend a tincture or extract rather than a pill. Put them in a tea--they are easily absorbed. I live in NC but get my herbal tinctures from Elk Mountain Herbs in Wyoming. Katy
Guest guest
For this problem , a perfect consultation is necessary to be done with Ayurveda vaidya . May be face to face if you have any Vaidya near u , or try online consultation so that the case history can be taken perfectly & the solution can be given . _____________________________ i had a stroke about five years ago which left ne with a lot of fatique, sorry for the way that is spelt. it also left me with left sided weakness and a caracture in my left hand. it also lead me to my question,
Guest guest
I have dealt with stroke very closely My husband had one 14 years ago He was 55 then. It was right sided. His speech was gone. my mother dabbled in Biochemic medicines and ayurvedic ones. she had a no of books that told me that it happens due to malnutrition. So nutrition taken in the form of food helps. this food has to be balanced. For his brain I gave him 5 each of pistachios, almonds, cardamom, dried grapes called munakka in hindi these are bigger grapes with seeds.and five of black pepper corns. This is one dose. could also be given twice a day. Brahmi works wonders on the brain. a very miniscule quanti ty of bach is also good for brain and speech. stroke makes the body very cold so all the things that are cold even in nature should not be taken. like banana, cucumber, tea, coffee is not cold but tea and coffee both should be avoided. water melon all fruits except apples, cheeku and papaya are allowed. Vegetable soups are good. There is one lentil called the horse gram or Kulthi in hindi, thick soup of that is very good for a stroke patient. Pranayaams should be learnt from a well known person. This will definitely cure any problems. Swami Ramdev is doing great work in this field. physiotherapy is very helpful. one can try some accupressure or reflexology. i learnt a new science like this with his ailment and have successfully used it for even averting operations on my children. I am writing what all I did. I did everything that any one told me so you may verify on your own before taking any thing from here. as I am not a doctor but through books and family and friends I learnt and used. That time we did not have internet. After that I started doing my own researches and worked on them. i think we alone can help ourselves thebest as we know exactly what is wrong with us. i took great care of his nutrition. Do not take anything that produces toxins, avoid tea, coffee. alcohol, aerated drinks ,sugar, chocolate, white rice, white flour. Take multigrains, roughage. keep the bowel clean. to ensure that for a stroke patient, it is said that they should take, one tea spoon triphala churan with warm water at night, or 1 table spoon ful of castor oil, and one teaspoon of dry ginger powder mixed in milk at night 2-3 times a week. both these are not habit forming. Keeping a happy disposition is very essential. one should engage oneself in some kind of work or hobby. All the best to you. You may google for home remedies or herbal remedies for your problem and you will get lots of pages telling you what ou need to know. _________________ i had a stroke about five years ago which left ne with a lot of fatique, sorry for the way that is spelt. it also left me with left sided weakness and a caracture in my left hand. it also lead me to my question, i have seizures and take gabapenten for them. it makes me so sleepy and sick to my stomach. is there ant ayurveda options or lifesyle decisions to help me control them.
