Foods in different climates

Namaskar to all,

I have wanted to get deeper in understanding different points for dietary

adjustment.

In dry climate, where air humidity is only 15-20%, such as Rajashtan in

India one needs to eat oily diet and drink lots of water to help the body to

maintain the required liquids and healthy skin, as well as required

lubrication. Perhaps one should take more salty and sweet tastes, as they

help to maintain the body liquids.

In cold climates one should eat more and take warming foods and spices,

spicy tastes and perhaps more sour foods? And in hot climates one should eat

less, eat cooling foods, sweet and bitter tastes and regular fasting is ok.

What are the advises for a humid climate? Dry foods seem quite suitable, but

are there particular tastes that should be favoured more? Perhaps Astringent

and Bitter - and perhaps sweet and salty should be avoided, as they collect

fluids in the body?

And what would be advises for windy climate? I guess more oil, and more

heating foods. But sometimes it can be windy and very humid. Or windy, humid

and cold, or dry, but extremely cold and windy.

I would like to have a discussion on this subject, and get your insights.
