Hello ,

I am new to this group. The reason I joined is that my friend has bee

recently diagnosed with Breast Cancer. She is 37 yrs old, 5 months pregnant

diagonosed with IDC Breast Cancer. She is estrogen, progesterone and Her 2 Neu

NEGATIVE. The tumor is Grade 3 and Cancer is at Stage 1. She had a Mastectomy

done at Stanford Hospital 2 weeks ago and the lymph nodes came out negative. The

doctors at Stanford are suggesting chemotherapy starting next week! They want

her to finish her12 weeks of chemo, before the baby is here in june.

She is in a terrible dilemma as she is very reluctant to do chemotherapy and

was looking for an alternative approach. But all the oncologists she has met

for first, second and third opinions have all recommended she go through chemo

soon since triple negative is supposed to be more aggressive. They say, If she

doesn't there is a big chance that the cancer will relapse. Since chemo is more

effective when done within 12 weeks of her surgery, she is time bound. She is

in a big dilemma and wants to consult with a good naturopath who has had

experience dealing with cancer patients before she makes her decision.

Would anyoe know of some ayurvedic treatment instead of chemo or some

treatment to delay her chemo for another 4 months (till after she delivers her

baby).

Any insights into such a case would be very appreciated.

Thank you,

Hiral
