Good luck. - tulasidevi2000 Monday, September 17, 2001 7:25 AM Schizophrenia Hello, I study various forms of energy healing, have Reiki and am a student of Pranic Healing tho cant go to seminars, etc., so do the best I can from books. I have both Miracles in Pranic Healing and Pranic Psychtherapy, as well as the twin hearts meditation CD. My friend has a son who is schizophrenic. He ended up arrested for a crime he did while not on his meds. It was not a bad one but enough to put him in jail for a while. It took her a while to get them to give him a psych evaluation but once they did they immediately recognized he was schizophrenic, as she had told them. He is now released on the condition he takes his meds, which he has agreed to. Problem is, something happened to some of his meds (long story not worth putting here) and the facility can't get him in to see a doctor until sometime in October! I have been sending him some distant pranic healing but would like to know the specifics of what to send him for schizophrenia. I did not see it listed, exactly, in the Pranic Psychotherapy book. Can anyone help with this information? Thanks. Tulasi P.S. Where may I go to make a request for other healers, more advanced than myself, to send him healing? Is this the place or is there a special elist for that?
Guest guest
I was hoping for something a little more specific than that. Like the long instructions I see for others who make similar requests. Also, after sending in my last post, I got a letter bounced back, which I thought would go to the monitor of the group. Anyway, it was not from me but a lonnie or something like that. He apparently is no longer at that address and if his addy is not removed off your list, everyone who posts will get a bounced back letter like that. Can Master Fe give me some instructions or steps on the specifics of how to treat for schizophrenia? Thanks. Tulasi , " Robert Ingalls " <ingallsltd@h...> wrote: > Try www.pranichealing.com. Guest guest
I know that my acupuncturist is doing some new thing that combines Korean 5-element acupuncture with something else, constitutional or something. He says he has had very good luck with this, and has cured one of his patients of schizophrenia. I am in MA, though, so I'm not sure who you could find in NY who is doing this technique. The acupuncturist's name is Alan Ginsberg and I know that he spoke at the National conference last week. Let me know if you want more info. Guest guest
Hi... I am working with a patient long-diagnosed with Paranoid Schizophrenia. She recently began having Shirodhara treatments which appear to help her. She also takes a lot of nutritional supplements. Acupuncture and herbs have not helped. Using Frankincense incense in her environment seems to make her feel less paranoid. Anybody have any other suggestions that might help to treat her fractured mind and the electrical zapping sensations that she feels at the back of her head, which she associates with aliens attacking her? Thanks, Juliana S.
Guest guest
Hello Juliana: I used to have a full set of symptoms that is attributed to a patient of Schizophrenia, electrical zapping sensation being one of them. As I mentioned in the update on my condition, a spiritual practice is what helped me tremendously and ultimately saved me. If you would like to know about the practice I followed, please email me and I will send the details. Thanks, Matt _________ I am working with a patient long-diagnosed with Paranoid Schizophrenia. Guest guest
I heard that Panchakarma can be very useful and this contains also matra and shodhana bastis (enemas propperly and cleanly prepared and applied. But one needs to be under good care by a knowledgeable doctor. Bastis are very useful, so is abhanga (oil massage) with herbalized oils. Panchakarma is said to be very effctive. I read that even patients who treated themselves this way at home had some good effects. I found the place again where I happened to read the following story: http://www.bipolarodyssey.com/personalstories.htm A reader discusses her success with Ayurveda for schizophrenia I developed schizophrenia 18 months ago. I heard voices every few seconds. Some told me to kill people. I believed people's subconscious minds were talking to me. I " heard " hurtful words and tried to kill myself. I was constantly depressed. I almost needed hospitalization. Two months into my illness, Dr. Raju, a Maharishi Ayurveda doctor in Delhi, India, sent me herbal medicine. www.drraju.com. Within about a week, I felt more stable. A year later, I was no longer fighting daily to maintain my sanity. But I still heard and believed the voices. So I strictly adhered to the " vata-pacifying " ayurvedic diet that my doctor recommended. (Deepak Chopra outlines it in his book Perfect Health.) I also pacified vata by going to bed by 9 pm and avoiding the cold. And I started doing panchakarma--ayurvedic cleansing techniques--at home. My doctor had suggested that I go to his clinic in India for panchakarma. I couldn't afford to, so I tried to replicate the treatment as much as possible at home. For 30 days, I did a half-hour ayurvedic-style sesame oil massage, wiped off the oil, then sat in a hot bathtub for an hour. I ate lunch, then took a basti, an ayurvedic-style enema. I put one cup of warm sesame oil in my rectum, and lay on my left side for an hour. The results of this simple procedure were amazing. At first the incessant voices went away while I was lying down. Then they'd shush up for an hour, then longer, after the bastis. After the 30 days, the voices were no longer coming every few seconds. Now they came only every two or three minutes. And on rare occasions they'd go away for hours. I couldn't do bastis indefinitely, or I'd make my bowels dependent on them So I took two months off. Around November 21, 2005, I basti'd up again for 30 days. This second round had better results than I could have imagined: The voices all but went away. I no longer believed I was hearing other people's thoughts. And I was no longer depressed or suicidal. One month later, I'm once again excited about life. I enjoy every day. The voices are still there, but infrequently enough and faintly enough to be only a small aspect of my life. I look forward to the next round, which I'll start in a month. Maybe it will end the schizophrenia completely. Even better, I want to go to India to be treated by Dr. Raju, if funds bcome available. Dr. Raju's website is www.drraju.com. It's not surprising that bastis have been a main factor in my cure. Dr. Deepak Chopra wrote that excess vata can lead to psychosis. And Vasant Lad, another Ayurvedic doctor, wrote that bastis are the complete treatment for 80 percent of vata-related disorders. Unlike drugs, ayurveda can heal from within the very cause the mental illness. I'm almost certain that I'll be cured permanently--without ever having taken a drug. ______________________ I am working with a patient long-diagnosed with Paranoid Schizophrenia. Guest guest
I am not sure of the location of the posts, but a few months back a member posted some info about his own experiences with mental illness. They were very interesting and informative. I believe if you go to the message board and search the key words they will come up. Guest guest
Hello Juliana, This sounds like a kundalini awakening. Often persons who are diagnosed with schizophrenia are going through spiritual awakening, kundalini awakening, that has got out of hand. Their bodies and minds were not purified enough for this process to occur without difficulties. Kundalini awakenign can occur: - By use of certain psychedelic drugs or ganja (cannabis) - By intense breathing practices or strong pranayama - By dedicated spiritual practice - By grace of guru in process of trasnferring spiritual enrgies (shaktipat) - In an accident or trauma - Spontaneously Experiences of kundalini awakening may vary, but following can often be experienced: - Experience of strong electric current from base of spine upwards through the spinal column up to the top of the head - Body may feel extremely hot - Burns may appear on the skin, or body without an external reason - Person may see things, energies, entities or beings that are not apparent for a normal person - May hear voices - May hear other people's thoughts or latent intentions Along with or within the spinal column there is Sushumna nadi, which is the channel of consciousness. It consists of three layers: Vajra nadi, Citrani nadi and Brahma nadi. When the person is unprepared, is not following sattvic diet, is not controlling his sensory inputs and thoughts, not following yama & niyama, not doing asana practice and not meditating, the effects of kundalini awakening may be very difficult and disturbing. The kundalini will raise through the outermst layer of Sushumna, the Vajra nadi, where all kinds of psychic phenomena will manifest, including the hearing of voices and seeing different kinds of entities. This may be highly disturbing, if the body and mind are dominated by tamo- and rajoguna. There may be many fearful visions and highly disturbing experiences and thoughts. If the kundalini raises through Citrani nadi, there will be different experiences. The vrittis are located on the chakras along this channel. When raising though citrani nadi and raising to a cakra which is not open yet, the kundalini force may " leak " out through some particular vritti. It may be vritti of anger, fear or lust. When this happens, that particular vritti becomes over-expressed and the person will be obsessed and overhelmed with the propernsities of that vritti. The person may appear manic, paranoid, or obsessive. And of course this is not a healthy condition. When the person has done preparatory work, by doing asana, following a satvic diet, contolling the sensory inputs and follows yama & niyama, and there are no blockages on the way, the kundalini will raise through Brahma nadi. In that case there will not be any disturbances, but various experiences may be encoutered when kundalini is passing through specific cakras. For instance when kundalini is passing anahata cakra one is feeling connectedness with the entire universe, seeing everything bathing in golden light of divine love. Please ask her if she has had the above mentioned signs and symptoms. Also ask her if she was doing some practices or taking some drugs prior to the onslaught of her symptoms. If it appears it is due to kundalini awakening, guide her to an accomplished guru, acarya, swami or spiritual teacher, who can give her diksha (intitation) to spiritual practices and guide her through the experience. Under guru's shelter and guidance there won't be such difficulties. In any case, milk and ghee, groundig physical work such as gardening and hard physical labour makes her more grounded and balanced. She needs regular asana practice and sattvic diet. And later on when mind becomes more balanced, a personal meditation practice. Many medhya herbs may prove very useful. Others may give more details on this point. Ac. Omkarnath (Ossi Viljakainen) _______________________ I am working with a patient long-diagnosed with Paranoid Schizophrenia. Guest guest
Thanks very much for helping. I will contemplate this more. She is not capable of telling me if she had a kundalini awakening though I asked her this several weeks before you wrote to me and she said that she felt kundalini going up her spine a few years ago but this was after her first psychotic episode. My intuition is that there is also some brain damage from childhood, as I understand she was always very " different " . She has delusions of ascending into another body, so the profound spiritual understanding of an expansive Self is there for her, but it is somewhat distorted by a very fractured and debilitated ego. Yes, the whole way of managing schizophrenia is to ground the energy and orient to mundane reality. I am teaching her to use Frankincense to purify the prana in her home and in her aura and she takes aura baths and I give her flower remedies and essential oils to strengthen the energy system too. Her hands are always cold so I give her lots of ginger tea and we do exercise in the fresh air daily and she takes gentle Hatha yoga. Thanks, Juliana ________________________ This sounds like a kundalini awakening. Guest guest
Hi, Fill the bath tub with warm water and add a handful of kosher or sea salt and a handful of baking soda. A cup of hydrogen peroxide and 5-10 drops of sage essential oil can also be helpful additions. Most important is to smudge the house and the aura with frankincense incense daily. Frankincense is the most powerful essence to expel inappropriate energies. Flower remedy of yarrow is also helpful to build a shining shield of light in the aura. Mountain Pennyroyal is another flower essence I use to cleanse and expel negative thoughts and the intrusion of entities in the astral body, to clarify the mental body and aid positive, clear thinking. Hope this helps, Juliana ___________ Would you please elaborate on an aura bath and any other ways you suggest for aura purification?
