Guest guest
There are three types of pain. Vata is sharp and stabbing; Pitta is inflammation, burning, hot; Kapha is dull and aching…. The first rule in any Vata health problem is oil and heat…This will not work for inflammation {Pitta} and so on… Jatamansi is Ayurveda's nervine sedative and is related to Valerian, but it would be good to know the cause of the pain… Pain is just the effect… Can you give us a little more back ground…
Guest guest
yoga that is the best way to get rid of pain we must actively do something to change the imbalance that is the cause of the pain ayurveda is not a science of taking a pill to get rid of pain it is a science of balance - if there is pain there is imbalance soemwhere. SM Acharya has back exercises. Also, regular massage would help. It is best to see a vaidya or give more details about onset of pain - injuries if any - details are needed. ________________ i would like to know that if there is any specific medication to remove vata from the body, as it is the main cause to all pain. Guest guest
Hi ED . Vata can be balanced by many ways . 1) Sesame oil massage for the whole body daily or on alternate days . 2) Steam bath for 20 - 30 minutes . 3) Vata pacifying diet in the day to day food . 4) Basti Chikitsa as per ur own constitution . Basti treatment should be taken under supervision of Vaidya . 5) Vata balancing medicines for some time . It should be taken as per Vaidya recommendation too . 6) Intake of ghee or butter in day to day food . Thes things can be done as per ur present problem . But it will always be good to do these treatments from a certified vaidya in ur vicinity . ___________ i would like to know that if there is any specific medication to remove vata from the body, as it is the main cause to all pain. Guest guest
Elaine . Actually it is very hard to tell you about any rememdy in Ayurveda for your gouty arthritis . You have not provided any info about your body constitution . Ayurveda medicines or therapies are mostly person specific . SO for a complete guideline , it will be good to visit to any Vaidya or at least try to consult online . It will be good for you to assess the problem . ________ After seeing the post #2571 which is Chronic gouty Arthritis, I feel that it is similar to my condition ,but I was not able to describe it, nor are the Dr's able to find out, this is a long existing pain.
