Just had to say how much I really like this statement. I think it is easy to get caught up in wanting to help give relief from struggles but thrive amidst difficult situations is so important to learn!!! Thanks for a great thought for my day!!! Guest guest
I am 1/2 way through with my course work in the acupuncture TCM program .... the rest of the classes that I need to finish up are basically business and " book work " courses .... I know correspondence schools are not the best way but when the communication both ways with an instructor are not there then it is more of a waste of time to stick with that method because you are truly not learning anything .... the reason I am looking into the correspondence route at this point is because I have found a Licensed Acupuncture Physician who has been practicing for more years than I have been alive and is a true master and wants to take me in as an intern to learn much of the practical stuff on a one on one basis which is Not what I can get at this school ... plus she speaks English! I a looking for a way to finish up school and graduate from a place that I can be proud of rather than just stick it thru at a school that I feel is not providing a good education for the students ..... what is the sense of getting hands on experience in a place that is Not providing this as opposed to getting it on a one on one basis with someone who is a master. Guest guest
One of the issues you to address is whether or not the state you are in will issue you a license based upon finishing a school program via correspondence courses. In most states unless you graduate from an accredited school/program - they will not license you. Your state MAYBE different but you need to know that first before you leave this school. Apprenticeship used to be legal in more states but is declining quickly. Although you are correct about studying in that fashion - it might not get you the qualificiations to take the license exam. As I said in the first response - most schools will not accept transfers. It's a tough problem. Guest guest
I am currently taking David Frawleys course and it is truly awesome. I am enjoying it emensely and even though I feel I cannot learn fast enough I am learning. I know Vassant Lad also has a correspondence course. I belong to one group of Ayurveda students but they are in Vancouver and I am in Kamloops. The course lets me learn more every day.
