Guest guest
Dear Members My daughter is one and half year old and creates lot of problem when it comes to eating. She is perfectly normal and active baby and there are no teething problem. Her growth is also good. Her diet is very less and she doesn't like food.We tried giving her daliya/khichadi/daal/milk etc but she doesn't eat anything. She likes only breast milk and sometimes banana. We sometimes struggle for hours so that she takes some food. It seems her hunger is less. Please suggest what can be done to improve her diet. Guest guest
do not force children to eat .They became adamant and refuse to follow elders advices.if their body weight is okay leave it. banana is very good, let her take plenty. some boiled eggs, milk with Palmyra sugar is enough. Guest guest
It is my experience that many children like to eat little bits throughout the day. Parents often expect childen to eat whole meals. Even if she eats one or two spoons three or four times daily this will be fine. She will gradually want more food as time goes by. As long as she is growing it is fine. I am assuming this is your first child? Do not worry at all, just keep feeding her little bits of food all day long. ____________ My daughter is one and half year old and creates lot of problem when it comes to eating. Guest guest
Dear, This problem I believe is very common in nuclear families now a days. I will truly label this as a behavioral disorder. I think you are more responsible for the condition that your daughter. I will suggest you very frankly NOT TO HAVE ANY MEDICINES FOR INCREASING HER APPETITE AND DIET. Try to have a word with elderly people in your home and see the difference. They and only they will show you the way out. Its my experience of last 10 years. Guest guest
It is very true that the joint family is the best place to raise a child. Grandma has enough patience and free time to spend the loving time with a child to encourage them to eat. For children, food is very much aobut love. Holding a child in the lap, telling stories and making it fun can help - but this should not be faked - kids will notice that! For the most part, I do not think there is a need for worry. When people are hungry, they eat - that is a function of nature. ______________ This problem I believe is very common in nuclear families now a days. I will truly label this as a behavioral disorder.
