Guest guest
Dear Gargji Following is the method of preparing medicated Ghee. Containts : Amalaki, Musta [ Nagarmotha], Gulvel, Shatavari and Ashwagandha Churnas must not be taken. Each substance 25gms. except Ashwagandha 50gm. All substances should be kept soaking in 2 litters of water through out the night. At next morning the same container with soaked medicines should be kept on medium Gas burner for preparation of decoction. Gentle stirring should be done continuously till the 1/2 litters of preparation remains. Filter the preparation [ Decoction] through thick cotton cloth. Use another container for next step. Add 1/2 kgs of pure Ghee in 1/2 of decoction in another container. Keep this preparation on medium gas burner and stirr till all water content in the form of decoction evaporates. Tests : The Ghee will be clear of froth. On pouring 2-3 drops of Ghee on Gas burner the flame will become more bright and there will be no additional sound [ If the preparation contain water then you will heard additional sound] Filter Ghee through another dry cloth. [ Residue should be filtered] Store this Ghee in dry bottle. Use : 1 teas spoonful x 3 times a day. Continue this therapy for 3 months. There is no need of Mahayograj guggul. Guest guest
Ajeya ji, I have some queries, 1. You have written that 1/2 of decoction is to be used in 1/2 kg. ghee. What about remaining 1/2 decoction. Is it waste? 2. I have to take 1 teaspoon full of ghee. How should I take it, means is there any eatable which I should take with ghee or only ghee? Please reply, Thanks. __________________ Use another container for next step. Add 1/2 kgs of pure Ghee?in 1/2 of decoction in another container. Guest guest
Dear Gargji I must have written wrong. 1/2 litter of decoction+ 1/2 kg of pure Ghee to be mixed and again heated till only Ghee remains. Ghee is eatable with slight change in taste. You could add sugar for convenience Vaidya Upadhye _______________ 1. You have written that 1/2 of decoction is to be used in 1/2 kg. ghee. Guest guest
Those who cannot take ghee just as it is, whether medicated or plain, due to non-agreeable smell or taste or because the person is not habituated to consuming ghee; Ayurveda has recommended 24 different vehicles / substances to be taken along with ghee or any Sneha per se. They are known as 'Sneha Vichaarana'. The most commonly used items that we use in such circumstances are sugar, honey, hot water, hot milk, boiled/steamed rice, rice kanji, vegetable soup, dal/pulses soup, meat soup.
