Guest guest
Hi CD You are so right - that even if the manufacturer or producer says there is no MSG or no GM component in the foods we can still recognise our body's response to those products - i occasionally used an Organic vegetable stock powder and had a " MSG response " I contacted the manufacturer and told them - they assured me that there was no MSG in their product but i changed to another company's product and had no problem. I recently bought a box of vegetables very cheaply and had a mass of coriander and of parsley to use up and cooked these with various vegetables, carrot, fennel, broccoli, zucchini, red pepper, and the flavour from the herbs was almost enough for me not to use any seasoning at all - in fact it must have been the coriander that took me straight back to breakfast at Swami Muktananda's ashram in Melbourne where we used to have this wonderful savoury porridge every day - so many of my family have disliked coriander I have not very often used it in cooking but in the soup it was perfect!
