All,

I would like to add some of my data as for the wisdom and effectivity of

Ayurveda regarding the use of Ayurvedic drugs having heavy / toxic metals.

Almost all the Rasashastra incorporated in Ayurveda has medicinal combinations

of Mercury in the form of Hingul, Kajjali and Rasa-sindur. There are many

combinations containing Lead and Arsenic also, which I have been using for last

18 years without causing any mishap or complications to my patients.

I will mention 4 medicines which are very regularly used in my Ayurvedic

practice.

1) Rasa-manikya - This combination contains a compound of Arsenic and is used in

skin ailments like eczema, dermatitis etc.

2) Shwas-kuthar - This combination contains Arsenic compound and is used in

Asthma, Bronchitis and various Kapha disorders where difficulty of breathing is

one of the symptoms.

3) Ekangveer - This combination contains Lead and is frequently used in

paralysis or weakness of any limb.

4) Garbha-chintamani Ras - This combination is a beauty and eye-opener to all

people who doubt the mineral content and its adverse effects. This combination

is used in pregnant mothers for their well-being as well as the baby in their

womb. This combination contains Arsenic compound. Not even once has it harmed

the mother or the baby in last 18 years. The grown up adolescents are as normal

or more healthier than the rest of the lot of their age.

I sincerely feel that at least Indians should take full advantage of this

Ayurvedic wisdom and put to rest all the doubts that the Western scientists are

crying hoarse about. Maybe our genetic make-up, Prakruti set-up and

physiological interaction is more adapted to such medicines than the population

from West.
