Guest guest
Karen, Get your thyroid checked. You can even check it yourself using a thermometer. Good luck. You will find the root of the problem and fix it and then your hair will grow back. Don't panic. It will make it worse. Guest guest
Thanks for the words of confidence Lynne, I have one question though...How do you check your thyroid with a thermometer? This sounds intriguing. Smiles and Blessings, Karen , Linzee222@a... wrote: > Karen, > Get your thyroid checked. You can even check it yourself using a thermometer. > Good luck. Guest guest
Hi Karen, Hair can start falling at a rapid rate for many reasons. You're taking vitamins and iron, and that's a good start. You've mentioned being anaemic lately. This could very well be a reason for hair loss. Even if your haemoglobin is at normal levels now, there could be a lingered effect on your hair up to six months after you've reached the " critical low " . If this was the reason, then the loss of hair should stop about six months after your haemoglobin levels were fine again. The big question is - do you see any change on the hair itself? Can you see that it's thinner than normal? Worse, do you have small bald spots? Do you lose any other body hair (eyelashes, brows, ...) If the answers are no, then you're doing fine. If yes to at least two of these questions, then there's a chance you're missing more than just iron. The best would be to get your roots checked, but if you can't, you should consider increasing your vitamin dosage. Another factor to check is heredity. Did your mother suffer hair loss as well? Did any other female member of your family? If so, you should consider using medication against hereditary hair loss. Be careful with it, though. Once you stop using it, your hair will fall out at an increased rate. Thanks, allay

A second cause of hair loss is fungus infection and you just apply the tea tree/lavender oil on the scalp. These two remedies should solved most of the hair loss problem. In case it still don't work as well take some silicon supplements and/or vitamin D. They will improve the skin and the epidermis as well as hair growth. Consider supplementing with Manganese and EPA oils.

Should really be checked out but one thing that does contribute that you can control to some extent are stress levels. There are a lot of medications that can increase it. Can also be hereditary. Fluctuating hormones at menepause or perimenepause, Using perms and hair colors. Now a personal note you wont find in the books I find my hair tends to fall out if my protien intake isn't balanced, my carb intake is too high or I'm eating the wrong type of fat. But make sure to get a reputable maker of fish oil. Like Nordic Naturals, Vital Choice and anything that Whole Foods sells. There are a lot fo bad fish oil capsules out there.
