Guest guest
> Your comments about Ksharsutra and Agnikarma (Ayurvedic cautery) are misconstrued. We have performed these procedures in many patients of corns, piles, skin tags etc. and there has been no recurrence.< It is obvious that those patients would have observed the food + dietary disciplines and hence no recurrence of the problem. As mentioned in message 2783 and 14117(both mention Kshar sutra) the root cause for piles is in lifestyle and dietary imbalance with nature + constitution. Irrespective of any cure by herbs or Ksharsutra/agnikarma, if the patient does not address the root cause, the growths will return. Surgery is only a cosmetic treatment in such cases. For some patients, a change in lifestyle is difficult, e.g. those working in shifts, businessmen returning late at night, taking dinner and going to bed after midnight, loss of elasticity of the tissues through continuous abuse of nicotine/alcohol etc. For these patients, the piles reappear. The time for reappearance was proportional to the extent of lack of dietary/lifestyle conformance to the ideal. The Vaidya can cure/control the disease, but re-inviting the disease is also within the scope of patient, even so it is possible to take some tonic/anti-oxidant and offset the damaging effect of daily intake of nicotine/alcohol/ etc. Dr. Bhate
