Guest guest
Dear Friend It suggest cardiac failure and a serious problem. In my opinion your friend should see a cardiologist and Vaidya for treatment because a close observation is needed. Once the acuteness of the disease is tackeled then for permanant cure Ayurvedic treatment should be followed. Guest guest
The problems mentioned by you can be brought to a significant level of cure, provided she is willing to take Panchgavya medicines. These medicines are useful not only for heart problems but also a variety of diseases hitherto regarded " incurable " , " controlled " using allopathy. Several suffering from foot swellings(as a result of congestive heart failure), chest pains, poor blood sugar control, hypertension, benifited from these medicines. These medicines are made using cow urine, dung, milk, curd and ghee, in addition to other herbs used in ayurveda. These medicines have obtained laudable success as can be seen at: http://www.jainsspecialitycarecentre.com/heart The other disease results are available by clicking on the links at the bottom of screen presented at above link. Modern Vaidyas(ayutrvedic Drs) are not fully aware of this recent research. You may note that Cancer and AIDS are also treated, and a speciality hospital for cancer has come up near Valsad, Gujarat, as per message 13409. These relatively inexpensive medicines are available in most of North India, but not exported. Guest guest
Treatment of cardiac enlargement requires proper diagnosis and personalised care and treatment. Though chronic cardiac failures can be fairly controlled, they need life-long management and treatment. The patient's inability to eat could be due to the heart itself pressing on the oesophagus (food-pipe) or there may be some other mediastinal pathology. Pedal oedema could be due to reduced function of heart or/and due to hypoproteinaemia (reduced proteins in blood) due to diminished diet. Get her checked properly and then get medical care of a competent cardiologist. You may suppliment Ayurvedic therapy too from a competent Ayurvedic doctor for better results/prognosis. Spl. advice - confirm blood lipid levels before starting any medicated ghee/oil to be taken within. Guest guest
> Spl. advice - confirm blood lipid levels before starting any medicated ghee/oil to be taken within. Hello Dr Muzumdar This last statement confused this author. Tried to search some references where any Ayurvedic medicated ghee (with special refrence to Panchgavya medicines made from cow ghee) is dagerous/contraindicated in case of heart disease in general. Can you elaborate what concern you have raised in above statement? Does ayurveda recommend any medicated oils to be taken within? Thanks Dr Bhate
Guest guest
The current trend in allopathic medicine is for ALL doctors to prescribe the dangerous Statin drugs when the lipid profile numbers are above so called normal ranges, especially total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol or triglicerides - this scare-mongering is due to the pressure of the Pharmaceutical companies - these lipid numbers are arbitrarily fixed and not very relevant to any specific patient need - unfortunately allopathic doctors forget this information and panic about cholesterol levels unnecessarily especially when the word Ghee - which is related to butter - is mentioned! It is most unfortunate to see that even ayurvedic doctors have come under this Pharmaceutical influence.
