Guest guest
Well said Darla. I could not have said it better. Therefore, the new term--Complementary Medicine--- take the best from all branches of medicine. Granted, both Ayurveda and Homeopathy are great in " preventive " aspects and also some " curative " aspects of most diseases. But, Prudent therapy means, when it does not get cured in a legitimately short time, or if the symptoms get worse, it is better to reassess the symptoms, diagnosis or modality of treatment, instead of getting into our own biases of the other methods of treatment. Ideally, in a country like India, medical students should be taught both / all modalities of treatment. The problem is that there is already a protest about the length of study of medicine. It will be a long while, before we mature to that level. Durgesh Mankikar,MD
