Please read the following and do provide help if possible. http://ayurvedforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=2 & t=81 It is time that all ayurvedic products and services be brought under some globally accepted standards. warm regards, Vikas Sharma

Though products and treatments can be standardised, who will standardise patients, without which an inconsistency is likely to arise? Ayurveda treats each individual as a unique creation and accordingly, an individual medicine has to be made. Over the time, the art of making the medicine for each individual is left to few traditional vaidyas, and instread we have attractively packed and labelled bottles with standardised contents! Regarding the rashes now. A part of the message posted at other forum: " During the first three days of treatment, I broke out in itchy red rashes all over my body. They would get worse at night. It got a little less fierce after that but two days after my return I still get itchy and hot on various parts of my body through the day. Even, sadly, my face, which has so many bumps after this treatment and gets unbearably itchy sometimes. Also, I'm getting mild kinds of stiffness in various joints and muscles when they are exposed to a draught. Since this is summer in India, I do need to turn on the fan and AC. " The reddish patches, itchy character, bumps, increasing itch during night is likely pointer of healing crisis. Massage, perhaps started without amapachana, consolidated ama, and possibly ama was not removed by other treatments (swedan). THe ama wished to exit through skin, also got stuck in joints/muscles. This is ayurvedic jargon, which a patient may or may not understand. The reason for the rashes appears to be rupture of small blood vessels (as a result of massage) under the skin and local blood drying as a result. Rupture of blood vessels is caused by Pitta unbalance, reduced platellates. Pressing by a finger for some time during medical check up can also leave a brownish spot for a few hours/days. This occurs due to rupturing of blood vessel, an indication of reduced platellates in blood. Immuno deficiency needs to be reduced by rakta shuddhi medicines. Goat Milk is the best remedy for this condition. Due to bitter herbs eaten by Goat, her milk contains medicines which ayurveda terms Rakta Shodhakas. 1-2 Glasses per day is minimum dose. It increases platellates, strengthens blood vessels and reduces Pitta. Mixture of Aamalaki powder and crystal sugar powder 1 tsp each (adult dose, children dose halved) to be taken with a little water morning and evening. If fresh amalaki fruit available, take out juice of 2 amala fruits, mix in 2 tsp honey and take instead of powder and sugar. This too is adult dose. Children dose to be halved. A Rakta shuddhi kashaya for such situations is discussed at: http://health.ayurveda/message/417 The low back pain, constant fatigue etc is an indicator of accumulated ama. it can be addressed inexpensively, as described at http://health.ayurveda/message/2765 The evidence for success of this path is available at: http://health.ayurveda/message/12819 However, do not try it without the guidance of local vaidya, who will save you from similar mishaps.
